Affiliate Approval

In Affiliates Pro for WooCommerce: I’ve set up an affiliates page (I had the program do this for me.) The page is fine. But how do I set this up so that the incoming affiliate has to be approved by me before they can begin doing any promotion? In the past I’ve had some bad experiences with affiliates, and I want to check them out and make sure they are legitimate before they are accepted.

    Hi Max,

You can use Groups plugin to restrict access to the affiliates page, until you decide the affiliate is legit.
For example, you can create a group ie Legit Affiliates and restrict affiliates page or all the affiliates pages you create to that group. After doing your checks you can add the affiliate to that group.
You should also create an affiliates registration page, visible to everyone in order for this to work properly. This can be done by adding a new page with the shortcodes
    [affiliates_is_not_affiliate]

If you are not an affiliate, you can join the affiliate program here:

    [affiliates_registration]
    [/affiliates_is_not_affiliate]

and remove [affiliates_registration] shortcode from the default affiliates area page.

    Kind regards,
    George
