Affiliates coupons

Dear all,

I am facing the following issue with the coupon:
A. On standard online purchases (NO PROBLEM HERE) buyers add the coupon associated with the affiliate and the affiliate receive his commission (while the client get his/her special discount). Everything is working.
B. On purchases we add from the back-end (generally orders we receive by phone or text-message). When we add the coupon associated with the affiliate:
1. the special discount is accepted (OK)
2. the order is not assigned to “direct” (OK) but also not assigned to the affiliate (NOT CORRECT)
3. No commission is assigned and calculated to the affiliate (NOT CORRECT, LINKED TO ITEM 2)

Would you mind to let me know if there is anything we missed in the settings or, if not, can you please help us to fix this issue?

Looking forward to hearing form you.
All the best,

Michael

    Dear George,

thank you for your kind feedback.
Everything is crystal clear now (it is petty there is no hook either in WordPress either in WooCommerce, it would have made the whole thing really complete…).

Well noted the process we should use while dealing with orders in the back-end.

Great plugin and set of add-ons + great support.
Thank you and all the best,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Many thanks for choosing Affiliates plugin and its addons for your affiliate marketing program.

When orders are added in the back-end it is normal for the system to omit the referring affiliate whether a link or a coupon is used for the order. This happens because there is no WordPress or WooCommerce hook for orders placed this way that the affiliates plugin can use and track a referral, granting a commission.

In this case you can either edit the referral recorded and assign it to the proper affiliate, or you can follow the normal flow and add the order through the front-end as if you where a customer in the store, using either the affiliate link or coupon.

    Kind regards,
    George
