affiliates pro 404 redirect add-on?

I have my site set to redirect to the home page whenever a 404 is encountered. This works great for SEO however when an outdated affiliate link encounters 404 error the affiliate tracking is not preserved on the home page. Basically, the visitor is attempts to go to https://mysite.com/outdatedurl?affiliate=14 and when a 404 error is encountered the visitor is redirected to https://mysite.com and affiliate 14 tracking is lost. Is there a solution for this issue? I was thinking perhaps there might be an addon produced by itthinx to handle all 404 redirects and unfortunately the groups 404 plugin will not work in this case because the pages aren’t protected by groups.
