Assign an affiliate after a purchase has been made…

Posted in

We discovered that we were allowing people to check out as a guest. We have since corrected this but there are some users who should have been assigned to a specific affiliate. How do we assign an affiliate after a purchase has been made?

First, you should activate Affiliates Permanent.
Then, through your Dashboard, visit Users and edit the user you want to assign the permanent affiliate to.

    Cheers

You can also edit the user’s profile and assign his/her permanent affiliate. ~How do we do this?

    Thank you SO much!

Sorry for the confusion… I want to make sure that this customer is always linked up with this affiliate for whenever they make additional purchases in the future too in addition to giving the affiliate credit for this first order. I hope that make sense.

BTW – we are grateful for you trying to help us through this.

Oh and does it make a difference that we have the permanent affiliate plug-in when asking this question?

    Hi Kelly,

For an order referral, you don’t need to add the user’s name.
    Unless i’m missing your point.

    Kind regards,
    George

This doesn’t have a place to input the user info for the person to be under the affiliate…. Are we missing something?

    Hi Kelly,

You can either edit an existing or add a new referral.
Please visit Affiliates>Referrals and find the button +Add at the top left of the page or edit the referral you prefer from the list.

    Kind regards,
    George
