I see an understand the default affiliate functionality. I want something a little bit different. If the customer gets to the checkout page without having been linked to an affiliate can I have them select from the list of affiliates?

Perhaps this plugin implemented by Antonio can help you. You can indicate the referrer on checkout by his email.
