I have my system setup (in the settings) that if someone places an order directly from the website and doesn’t use an affiliate link a referral should be generated for the Affiliate Name Direct.
It used to happen previously but when I moved the system over to a new URL (site) using the same affiliates and same settings – something happened and this was lost.
Now orders that come in without a referrer are not getting assigned to Direct. Can you tell me what I need to check please?

Hi George, I always had those 4 checked, as I stated I moved my license/copy of Affiliates Enterprise to a new URL and the settings are all the same as they were before so nothing was changed. Orders that came in previously on the old URL without a referrer would go to Direct. Since moving to the new domain name (URL)it no longer works. But I have unchecked the bottom 2 boxes as per your suggestion, I will let you know if that fixes my problem.

Try keeping checked only the first and the second option and do a test once more.

Yes the plug in is installed and all boxes are checked under all of these options below under settings.
Affiliates Permanent
Apply the normal affiliate routine for guests.
Assign new users to the referring affiliate.
Assign new customers to the referring affiliate. WooCommerce is required for this option.
Assign users to the referring affiliate upon first referral. The assignment will be made if no accepted or closed referrals are on record for the user yet.

If you also have enabled Affiliate Permanent plugin, you should configure the settings for this plugin as well and enable the first option to Apply the normal affiliate referral process for guests. You can find details on how to setup this plugin in the documentation.

Store direct referrals
If this option is enabled, whenever a referral is suggested and no affiliate is attributable to it, the referral will be attributed to Direct

You can enable direct referrals in Affiliates > Settings > Direct referrals.
You can check the option there and try again.
