Manually assign Affiliate to Purchase

Hi.
I use AE and PayPal integration…everything looks ok….Or maybe not..??
One thing I can’t see/figure out: How to manually assign and Affiliate to a purchase?

when I look at the Payments / Orders – I can click on the order number and I can see every detail of the purchase…. but no reference to affiliate / or to assign affiliate.

Is there a way.. (or should there be a way) to manually assign affiliate to a purchase?
Or….. maybe a I can’t see it because something is not right with the integration?

Thanks for advise…..

    Antonio, thanks.
Forgive me, but what do mean: “set a description to the new referral”
How is typing a description on a Completed Sale – assigns that sale to an affiliate?
Maybe I wasn’t clear. After the purchase has been completed and is done.
After – how can I pick affiliate “Joe” and give that sale to Joe? So Joe gets the commission?
Is there a dropdown or something to select the affiliate? Or some way to select an affiliate / or change an affiliate for a sale.
Or maybe I just don’t understand how typing a description -After a Sale – assigns that sale to an affiliate.
Reason; (we sale memberships). 1)Let say an affiliate quits, so I want to assign all the sales (memberships / renewals) to another affiliate.(give the accounts to another affiliate.
    2) A purchase happens without affiliate – but a sale was made by an affiliate, so I want to give a commission credit to that affiliate.

Again, forgive if I don’t understand.
    Thanks

      Hi,

I’ll explain briefly how this works when it is recorded automatically versus when you manually create a referral:

      – A customer visits an affiliate link and makes a purchase. The system recognizes that and automatically records a set of information that relates to the purchase and the affiliate. The details of this is what you see when you expand the referral data for that particular referral.

      – When you create a referral manually, a limited subset of information can be indicated along with the referral.

Now in the case you describe, I would assume that you simply want to record a referral and have it assigned to a particular affiliate, although not automated recording was made for that purchase. For that, you would go to Affiliates > Referrals > Add which brings you to the screen where you can input a description, amount, currency and reference among others. As you want to have that related to a particular transaction, you would indicate the transaction ID in the Reference field, so that you can trace it back when needed later.

I hope that makes it a bit clearer now.

    Hi Antonio.
I had to come back to this.

I can’t test it so I need to ask you.

After a purchase. How can I assign an affiliate to the purchase?
And will it show in the affiliate account (the referral and commission)?

    Thanks a lot.

      Hi,
you can set a description to the new referral (you can set the order id on this description).
Affiiate will see this referral on her affiliate’s page.

    Hi,
you can create a referral manually on Affiliates->Referrals and use “Description” to take the order.
