as I have seen, Internet connections are usually automatically disconnected by the provider after 24 hours at the latest and the router gets a new IP address.
Accordingly, a new visit by the same visitor after 24 hours will be counted again.
Is there a possibility to avoid this behaviour?

Welcome back to our support forum and apologies for the delay you noticed.
From my personal experience over the years, ISPs rarely change IPs and the most common scenario to get a new IP is to manually restart the router for various personal reasons. Still though if you have evidence on your side that this indeed occurs I should respect that, but there is little option to check and validate a user’s IP since this depends on the ISP or the State’s regulatory service for telecoms or an equivalent service. The plugin can only check if there are distinct IPs recorded and calculate the visits accordingly.
