As per the title I am trying to tie a new affiliate to an existing affiliate. The assumption is that the new affiliate would have landed on the existing affiliate’s landing page. Your “Permanent Affiliate” seems to do just that. My question is this: in this scenario will the new affiliate automatically show the existing affiliate as the referrer and thus fit naturally into the existing referral tree (e.g. as if I had set them up manually)?

Hello there,
This can really be done manually, as you mentioned, by editing the new affiliate and choosing the referrer. Since you mention “referral tree” I reckon you are asking your question with tiers in mind and tier relations are established automatically with Affiliates Enterprise when the plugin’s enabled, it’s not something handled by the Affiliates Permanent plugin.
If you don’t actually mean tiers, then when using Affiliates Permanent new customers (or new users) will indeed be assigned to the referring affiliate and the affiliate will be credited with a referral on every purchase made by the referred user.
If Affiliates Permanent is used with Affiliates Enterprise and tiers are enabled, it is necessary to enable the following option under Plugins > Affiliates Permanent :
[x] Apply the normal affiliate routine for guests.
This will allow the system to relate new affiliates to their referring affiliate (tier).

Also, it seems your Affiliates Enterprise premium support has expired on December 14, 2018 with your plugin license, so you might want to renew your order.
