Users are not updated

Hi
I have problems assigning groups to users when I use Groups Import Export. When I update groups, it works, but when I checked the users, the groups are not assigned.
I use BuddyPress in my site so I guessed it must be an incompatibility with groups and I deactivated. When active, I got errors while creating pages with assigned groups. When inactive, there are no errors creating pages and posts with groups. The problem seems to be not in the access limitation but on assigning the users.

    Hi Ricardo,

    Thanks for your continuous collaboration.

I have gone ahead to fix the tabbed-text file you sent over via mail. It should now import all your users with the appropriate groups created.

Let me know how it goes.

    Warm regards,
    Eugen.

      Hi Eugen,
Thanks a lot for your support and clarity.
I realised now I was using an old template I had with one column less.
It would be probably from the previous version of the plugin
Everything is fine now. You can close the ticket.
      Thank you for the effort
      Ricardo

    Hi Eugen,
No. I do not receive any error message. What I can see after uploading my file is
88 valid entries have been read.
    0 entries have been skipped.
    0 users have been imported.
    88 users have been updated.
The following information could be helpful, but not sure:
When I try to assign users to different groups at one time, Excel adds semicolons to the group’s names. Thus, instead of Group I have in the txt file the following “Group 1,Group 2,Group3”. Nevertheless, I have also tried with one group at a time.
I am not indicating in the import routine the group to assign, as I assume the information is in the file.
I am using WPLMS as a theme. This is a very particular theme because it acts as a CRM
BuddyPress is active, but User Groups and Extended Profiles are not.
I can give you access to the site or provide with the text file I am using if you need it.
There is no debug.log file after importing users.
    Regards
    Ricardo

    Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for using our Groups plugin.

To better help you with this topic I have a few questions.

Please did you observe any warnings or errors on the backend when you try to import the users? If yes can you mention this error?

Also, please enable WP Debug, by adding define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true ); to your wp-config.php, then try importing the users once more.

After which, please navigate to /wp-content/ and check for a debug.log file. If its present please send to me.

While waiting for your response, I wish you a fun and fruitful day ahead. And I look forward to helping you solve this issue.

    Kindest regards,
    Eugen.
