RE: Auto Affiliate Enrollment + Dynamic Social Share In One Seamless User Session

    Hi there,

We have an Insurance Lead Gen Offer and I want to implement a Dynamic Affiliate Program, and believe your Affiliate Management plugin/App/Solution may be the best fit, however we had some Technical questions to ask before we purchase and set everything up, to make sure your application will meet our requirements.

    Current Flow:

User signs up on our First Lead Capture Page and automatically gets added to our own external CRM/Autoresponder via API. This process is already implemented and working.

Details captured on our First Lead Capture Page are Name, Email, and some additional custom values

User Then lands on our Second Page Questionnaire where we will ask a few additional questions, and once user completes this questionnaire, we identify this as a “Payable Action”. All Affiliates who refer people to this first and then second page that complete this “Payable Action”, will be attributed these conversion.

Please reply to each of the 5 Technical presale Questions below in-line for my reference:

Desired Flow to Put this Process on STERIODS:

    1)
User who sign up on our First Lead Capture Page, will Also Need to be AUTO Enrolled at the Exact same time as an Affiliate, without having to sign on through a different process.

We can send the Name, Email and Additional Custom fields to your Affiliate System. We will have in our privacy policy stating all users will be auto enrolled as an affiliate

Login details with an automatically generated password would be emailed to them.

Perhaps this can be done with API/webhooks but I am not sure.

Please provide a detailed guide how we can automatically create an affiliate, in our above use case, AND have login details (with a system generated Password), automatically emailed, so I can provide this information to my developer.

    2)
We will need to have a Conversion Pixel Generated by your system, and have this placed on the “Payable Action” page above.

Please provide detailed guide on how we can achieve this with screenshots.

    3)
The Destination URL that we set on our offer as an Admin, I want to be able to pass all extended parameters like “referrerID”, “Sub1”, “Sub2” etc etc that our affiliates use to our ultimate destination URL. Please advise how we can configure the necessary to have all this passed to our destination URL.

    4)
Important: After a user completes our First Lead Capture Page, and gets AUTO Enrolled as an affiliate, Just BELOW our second page questionnaire, we will have some Brief instructions encouraging them to share this offer and get paid. Below these instructions, they will see Social Share Icons that will be Prepopulated with their Affiliate Link ie ALL social share icons will have their Affiliate Link already embedded into them.

Please advise how we can achieve this and Automatically embed affiliate links to these social share icons. Perhaps, this can be achieved through API, at the time the user is Auto Enrolled, but I am not sure, so please provide detailed guide on how we can achieve this with screenshots.

    5)
When they click on these social share icons, like FB, IG, Whatsapp, GMAIL, I want to be able to prefill the Share Message and Image so all they do is click and share.

Where will I be able to customize this Image and Message so that when they click to share, it will be a message and image I provide.

    END Result:

User signs up, thinking they are going to get an insurance quote. They complete the questionnaire on second page and see some interesting instructions on how they can make money by sharing. As they are auto enrolled, they simply share the offer with all their friends on all social networks. When their referees complete the Second page questionnaire, the Affiliate will get paid.

Affiliate will get emailed asking them to login with their generated password and complete their payment information.

Once they refer, say 30 people and get 30 conversions, we will pay them.

We will continue to send emails to them urging them to continue to promote our offer through a share page with their embedded affiliate links

An overall very easy seamless process.

      Hi Tyrese,

As you mention that you have a developer working for you and based on your detailed requirements, my best recommendation would be to have your developer first look at the documentation for Affiliates Enterprise. Contrast the features against your specific requirements and evaluate which parts you would have to customize. Only if in your first evaluation based on the documentation you figure out that the system might be a match, I would even consider the system for your purposes. After that, if you believe it is, you might want to go ahead and try it out. Our refund policy if flexible enough for you to evaluate the system in a reasonable amount of time (please refer to our terms for details). You should expect the need to do some custom development which is not covered as part of our support. Please also note that we do not provide specific guides customized to your requirements other than the documentation pages to which I have referred to you. For very large projects with an appropriate schedule and budget, we can provide appropriate consulting services that go beyond this.

      Cheers

HI, please check my requirement, affiliate himself (level 0),sub-affiliate (level 1), and so on,
we are not selling or purchasing, we just want 3 level affiliate, and a fixed amount to assign to an upper-level affiliate when sub-affiliate created, for example when making level1 then level0 got $50 according to the below example
    level 0 affiliate ($50)
level 1 affiliate (sub-affiliate or referred by level 0)
when make level2 then level1 got $50 and level0 got $25 according to the below example
    level 0 affiliate ($25)
level 1 affiliate ($50) (referred by level 0)
level2 affiliate (referred by level 1)
when make level3 then level2 got $50, level 1 got $25 and level 0 got $10 according to the below example
    level 0 affiliate ($10)
level 1 affiliate ($25) (referred by level 0)
    level2 affiliate ($50) (referred by level 1)
level3 affiliate (referred by level 2)
I am using Affiliates Enterprise, How can I do this? thanks in advance

    • Kento November 1, 2020 at 8:38 pm #

      Hi Kashif,

Please contrast your requirements against the documentation available here, you will find specific details on those parts for multilevel campaigns under the Tiers section.

Hi it is possible to redirect a user to perticulaer page when some one hit the affiliate URL
    https://www.mysite.com/?affiliates=15

    Thanks!

    • Kento May 20, 2020 at 9:00 pm #

      Hi,

Yes, this is something you can set up at the server level using redirect rules.

      Cheers

  6. JEFF May 30, 2019 at 5:29 pm #

is it possible to define a commission schedule that is based on the time that an affiliate has been registered? so, for the 1st 6 months affiliate would earn 20%, then for the next 6 months 15%, then for the next 6 months 10%, and for the next 18 months 5%?

    • Kento June 1, 2019 at 10:24 am #

      Hi Jeff,

Yes that is possible using formula-based rates. Please have a look at the section Rates under the heading “Formula-based Rates” – you can base it on variables used and it will require implementing the corresponding filter.

      Cheers

      • Jeffrey Green June 1, 2019 at 10:44 am #

not sure i completely understand. is there a variable that i can use to compute the amount of time an affiliate has been registered? and how does the implementation of a corresponding filter enter in?

      • jeff June 1, 2019 at 1:16 pm #

okay, i think i’m starting to get it. so using
        $affiliate = affiliates_get_affiliate( $affiliate_id ); $from_date = $affiliate[‘from_date’];

i should be able to apply a rate to specific time ranges?

      • Helen Ward May 13, 2020 at 5:28 pm #

Kento, I have tried multiple times to find where to submit a request for access to our account since our webmaster passed. Can you please help? Helen Ward

        • Kento May 14, 2020 at 6:00 pm #

          Hi Helen,

I believe I have just replied to an earlier request from you, pointing to our support areas. Thanks for reaching out again. Checking our records, there does not seem to exist an order related to your site. If you are not able to recover the account credentials that your webmaster had used and if you require premium assistance or access to updates, you will need to have a valid license for Affiliates Enterprise which you can obtain here. I hope that helps you further!

          Cheers

  7. Bruno January 12, 2019 at 4:57 pm #

    Hello,

I have already asked this questions in the forum, without answer till now.

Sorry, we have a little time pressure, because I tried a different solution, but it’s no good.

Interested in Enterprise (we need campaigns) and some extensions.

Is it possible to do the following?

    1. Display an affiliate ranking in the affiliate profile?
    2. With the “Automatic Affiliates” extension, all customers should automatically become affiliates. However in a rank without payment. Thus also customers affiliate links are to be made available, for customer bring customer actions. Real affiliates, on the other hand, should register using the registration form and must be approved manually? When they are approved, they are automatically moved to a different rank? Is this scenario possible?
    3. We need 2 tiers for the real affiliates (20% and 5% lifetime). If someone follows an affiliate link and becomes an affiliate himself, does the system automatically recognize him or does he have to be manually assigned to the referrer?
    4. Do affiliates get their own WordPress permissions which can be checked with “current_user_can”?

    Thanks.

    • Kento January 24, 2019 at 11:18 am #

      Hi Bruno,

Thanks for providing the details here, I don’t know where you put those questions previously so I’ll just reply on this here:

#1 It is possible to do this via a custom template. You would need to have it implemented based on the ranking criteria you establish and could use the data provided by the system to evaluate the ranking.
#2 I suppose that you refer to the Affiliates Users extension. If you use a default affiliate status of pending, then you could implement the process you envision – except for the part where you would like to have them moved to a different rank automatically. To have this happen automatically on approval, you would need a customization implemented. The good news on this is that you can use Groups in cooperation with Affiliates Enterprise, with Groups installed you can assign an approved affiliate to the desired group (equivalent to the rank you mention) and use referral rates based on group memberships.
#3 The relationships between affiliates are established automatically by the system, so that when an affiliate refers a new one, the latter will be related automatically.
#4 For this, you can also use Groups and assign the desired capabilities to the group in question. Please have a look at its documentation for details – it opens up a lot of possibilities that I think will be quite useful for the deployment you have in mind.

I hope that this still helps, sorry it took a bit to get back on your questions.

      Cheers

      • Bruno January 24, 2019 at 5:20 pm #

        Hello Kento,

        many thanks for your answers.

I think I will build all this stuff with custom implementations. I think the best way to handle new (real) affiliates is to create a new CPT. Then I implement a form and while it will be submitted I hook into and create a new post for this affiliate where we can check all the submitted information. And if the post changes from draft to publish a new user will be generated / updated with the needed permissions to play well with groups and the affiliate ranks.

Which class should I study to add this user as an affiliate programmatically to your system?

I am already very familiar with groups. I wrote an extension in the current project that allows me to show or hide all sections, rows and modules in the Divi theme with capabilties, cookies, logged in status and $_SERVER variables. That means, that they’re not set to “display:none” in the browser, because they are deactivated on the server side and they will never be transmitted to the browser. Groups is extremely helpful for this, because you really can create a great membership area.

Thanks for your really hard work and such great, lightweight and powerful plugins!

        • Bruno January 26, 2019 at 8:53 am #

And how can I add a rank to this user programmatically?

          • Bruno January 26, 2019 at 8:56 am #

Sorry.. And how can I set this user in relationship to an affiliate if he was referred by him / her?

            • Bruno January 26, 2019 at 12:13 pm #

Sorry again to bother you.. I also set some purchases with WooCommerce programmatically (one click upsale solution for new members on the thank you page). Which hook needs to be triggered that this purchase is also added to the affiliate in combination with your affiliate permanent extension?

              • Kento January 26, 2019 at 2:31 pm #

                No problem 🙂 If you are going to record a purchase programmatically and also want to record a related referral explicitly, you should use the Affiliates_Referral_Controller to do that. An example of how this is done can be seen here $rc->add_referral( $params );

            • Kento January 26, 2019 at 2:07 pm #

Good question, the class where the relation is created automatically when a new affiliate is added kind of sucks as it doesn’t provide a decent API function that you could call to do this. So you’ll actually need to insert an entry in the table wp_aff_affiliates_relations (obviously wp_ is your installation’s prefix which can vary):

              $table = $affiliates_db->get_tablename( 'affiliates_relations' );
              $today = date( 'Y-m-d', time() );
              if ( $affiliates_db->query(
              	"INSERT INTO $table (from_affiliate_id, to_affiliate_id, type, from_date) VALUES (%d, %d, %s, %s)",
              	intval( $referring_affiliate_id ),
              	intval( $referred_affiliate_id ),
              	'referral'
              	$today
              ) ) {
              	do_action( 'affiliates_added_affiliate_relation', $referring_affiliate_id, $referred_affiliate_id, 'referral', $today );
              }
          • Kento January 26, 2019 at 1:56 pm #

If you’re going to use Groups to register ranks <-> groups, you can assign a user using a simple API call – you’ll see it in the first example on http://docs.itthinx.com/document/groups/api/examples/

        • Kento January 26, 2019 at 1:12 pm #

          Hi Bruno,

Before you definitely decide on creating a CPT for this (and even if you eventually will use that approach) I recommend you to have a look at the integrations for Ninja Forms and Formidable Forms (links are pointing directly to the integration plugin pages on WordPress.org) – they are also documented in detail in the Integrations section of the documentation on Affiliates Enterprise. You will find all code references and procedures you need implemented in these integrations.

The Groups integration for Divi you have created sounds great! It might be interesting to offer it to users of the Divi theme and Groups in general, have you given that a thought?

Thank you very much for your kind comment, it’s really a pleasure for me to see people like you creating awesome solutions based on our work. I couldn’t thank you all enough!

I see you have some additional questions which I will answer in a moment.

          Cheers!

          • Bruno January 26, 2019 at 3:17 pm #

Thank you so much for all this suggestions! I will check your extensions for the different forms.

There’s one last thing, please. Maybe I missed something. I have set myself as an affiliate at a rate of 20% and the referrals are being collected. But there is no amount to see, all are set to 0.00 EUR: http://7.ly/w7AS

Is there something else I need to set?

I’ve already thought about publishing it as a plugin on the Elegant Marketplace. I also sell other plugins there. But at the moment I’m still too involved in projects.

            • Bruno January 27, 2019 at 2:55 pm #

Is there a way to change the target links for campaigns? It would be a nice feature to add links as an admin in the admin area and this links are available as a dropdown in the “create campaign form” to limit the usage of links.

If not, is there a hook to change the links while they are created?

If not, is there a way to create campaigns in the admin area and apply this links to all users?

              • Bruno January 27, 2019 at 2:58 pm #

.. add links in the admin area or a comma separated list inside the shortcode itself:

                [affiliates_manage_campaigns allowed_links="link1, link2, link3"]

                  Hello Kento,

is it possible to get some more answers here? Time is running out. I would like to check it for myself in the respective classes. Unfortunately they are hard to read because you use minifying.

Regarding the question above. If a purchase takes place via WooCommerce, in which hook do you intervene to record a referral and which data / variables have to be transferred there? I think this should make it easier to handle a referral.

The screenshot above has expired after a week, regarding the question why empty remunerations are created. Here is a new link: http://7.ly/xbQc

                  Thanks

                    Hi Bruno,

Please check out the new version where you’ll find it easier to use its API. Also as this thread has gotten very specific, please post any new questions in the premium support forum here where our team will help you out quicker.

                    Cheers

If you check out the new dashboard introduced in 4.0.0 you’ll find this implemented – try it out by putting [affiliates_dashboard] on a page and view it as the affiliate.

            • Kento March 7, 2019 at 11:50 am #

              Hi Bruno,

I just got to check your comments, I hope this will still be useful though. If you get a zero amount, it’s because the commission rate is also zero. You’d have to check the rate applied.

              Cheers

  8. Tim January 2, 2019 at 1:39 am #

I have looked all over your website for images of the affiliate dashboard. I’d like to see the aesthetics of it. Where can I find those?

Also, I have some compatibility questions I would rather ask in email.

    • Kento January 9, 2019 at 3:40 pm #

      Hi Tim,

Good question, I suppose that while we provide a lot of customization options through the many shortcodes that are included, it’s a bit difficult to answer. Even the core system provides a default affiliate area which you can try out easily, but I can say that we’re actually working on a fully revised dashboard for affiliates which provides common sections. This will be available shortly but meanwhile I can point you to the Affiliates Enterprise documentation root page where you can find details on the current options.

      Cheers

Hi I bought Affilates Pro then upgraded to Enterprise. How do I change the name of email sender in email notifications to new subscribers (affilaites) from “WordPress” to my site’s name?

    • Kento September 25, 2018 at 9:38 am #

      Hi,

You can use a plugin such as WP Mail SMTP to configure the settings used to send via your site in general. The notifications will then be sent using these settings, it also allows you to specify the sender.

      Cheers

  10. Tevya Washburn August 22, 2018 at 6:27 pm #

Do you have documentation or something on what exceptions we need to put into WP Rocket (or other config that’s required) to make sure Affiliates Enterprise works correctly? We just installed WP Rocket and got major performance increases, but our testing indicates that affiliate tracking may not be working.

    Any info appreciated!

    • Kento August 25, 2018 at 1:22 pm #

      Hi Tevya,

You probably need to exclude the URL parameter used to identify incoming affiliate links from caching. In our Troubleshooting section you can find details from similar cases (e.g. WP Super Cache) – I am not familiar with WP Rocket myself but they have this entry Caching Query Strings in their documentation where it says they don’t cache pages with query strings by default – so I would assume that it should actually work. What procedure did you use for the tests?

      Cheers

      • Tevya Washburn August 28, 2018 at 9:08 pm #

You’re right, WP Rocket does this automatically. The issue was elsewhere: the WooCommerce addon for Affiliates Enterprise was deactivated for some reason. Thanks!

        • Kento August 29, 2018 at 9:56 am #

Ahhh ok, that was it then 🙂

  11. Jack June 13, 2018 at 4:12 am #

Need to know if you can do this:

    1 referral, level 1 (direct referral $25)
    2 referrals, level 2 ($5)
    4 referrals, level 3 ($5)
    6 referrals, level 4 ($5)
    8 referrals, level 5 ($5)
    10 referrals, level 6 ($5)

That is when someone refer 10 people, he can get commission from all 6 levels.

    • Kento June 13, 2018 at 2:37 pm #

      Hi,

If what you describe relates to having fixed commission amounts based on the number of referrals then this is not supported. It could be done developing a customized solution based on the API.

      Cheers

      • Jack June 13, 2018 at 6:14 pm #

        Perhaps I didn’t explain clearly.

When person A referred 10 people, he can get commission from all 6 levels. For each item sold, he will get $5. The $5 applies to each item sold in any level other than the direct referral in the first level.

        • Kento June 17, 2018 at 5:09 pm #

          Hi Jack,

Thanks for explaining further – the issue I see with this is that you seem to relate the tiers through which the affiliates earn commissions to a number of referrals and this is not how our system works. I’m not saying it couldn’t be possible, but this sounds like a lot of customization would be necessary. It could be done with our system’s API, but expect to have an consideranle budget for the developer you would intend to have this done. If this is useful, please have a look also at the documentation pages: http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-enterprise/tiers/ and http://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates-enterprise/rates/ where you will find more details on how the tiers work and how they can be related to with the rates.

          Cheers

          • Jack June 18, 2018 at 3:23 am #

            Hi Kento,

I have read the questions from Xavier (March 28, 2016) and Kieron Garvey (May 23, 2016) in the same thread. They are basically asking the same thing what I am asking. In both cases, you told them that it can be achieved via API and Custom method. What I am asking is basically the same. The more the affiliates referred the more levels they are qualified. Do you know if these two people have gotten what they want through API and Custom Method without “lots of customization” and “considerable budget”? This seems to be one of the basic things in many MLM. If this can be done easily, then I can get your plugin, otherwise I have to look somewhere else.

            Thank you for your assistance.

            • Kento August 2, 2018 at 12:19 pm #

              Just for the reference:

              related discussion.

The current capabilities around tiers are documented on the Tiers page of the documentation on Affiliates Enterprise.

For anyone interested in running a multi-tier affiliate program with Affiliates Enterprise, I would recommend to read Affiliate Tiers Demystified which provides a good introduction and overview on the capabilities.

      • Jack June 13, 2018 at 6:29 pm #

I think a few people have asked for this already. I need to know if API/custom method can be easily done by you or something I have to figure out? I am not a php programmer so I wouldn’t know how to. Thanks.

        • Kento June 17, 2018 at 5:33 pm #

Thanks for following up, I’ve already mentioned the possibility of custom development in my reply from a moment ago – at this point we can’t commit to such a customization ourselves but there are developers who can help you with customizations like this.

  12. Jack June 12, 2018 at 3:37 am #

I want to set up a 6 level matrix. When an affiliate sells one item, he is qualified to level 1 with $25 direct commission. If he sells 2 then he is qualified to receive commission of $5 from level 2. Sells 4, he gets $5 for level 3. Sells 6, gets $5 for level 4. Sells 8, gets $5 for level 5. Sells 10, gets $5 for level 6. So basically when he sells 10 items, he gets $5 from all level 2 to 6 sales. The maximum is 6 levels for anyone person and he can sell more than 10 directly (level 1). Level 2 people will get $25 for their direct sale (level 3). They will also get their 6 levels. Can this be set up easily with this plugin?

I also need the ability for the customers referred by the affiliate to receive a $5 discount via coupon. So that the system should be able to recognize that someone has used a coupon and the affiliate should get the credit for it. Can it be done? Thanks.

    Hello Antonio,
I know the software needs the cookies to work, this is the base of affiliation software.
When I wrote clean of cookies means with fresh news cookies, so no conflict with other.

I don’t want to have Permanent Affiliates.
I have a problem and you ask me to buy another plugin to solve the problem?

The affiliate software register just to the DIRECT, nothing with other affiliate.
I tried many options without any success. I wonder why?
I read all your feedback of your clients and read all the docs.
I tried all the week end to make it works and don’t get it.

For this reason, I would like to ask be refund please.
Do you need anything else from me to proceed today?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

      Hi William,

Sure we can refund your order, not a problem but I think you might have had some issue in the process of testing it or maybe there is a conflict. The system works fine on thousands of installations and if you want we’d be happy to have a look and help you get it started. Either case is fine with us, I’ll ask you for confirmation via email.

      Cheers

The software does not register the commission. It does recognize (register) the affiliate click (the PPC works fine), but if I simulate a purchase (with another Web browser, clean of cookies) it doesn’t show (register) the commission under the affiliate I used to do the purchase on the “manage affiliate panel”. On the other hand if I check the option “Store direct referrals” (Settings > referrals), the software works and add the commission to “Direct”. How can I solve this problem? Need help! Thank you in advance for your answer.

    • antonio February 19, 2018 at 10:12 am #

      Hi William,
The plugin uses the cookies to track affiliates, so if you purchase in another browser where the affiliate’s link is not visited, then the system can not register the referral. The Direct referral is registered because this is used when there is no affiliate link.
If you want to have permanent assignment between the users and the affiliates, you have available the Affiliates Permanent addon.
If you have more support question, please use the forums and we will give you premium support.
      Kind Regards,
      Antoino B.

Your plugin has been amazing for the more than 3 years we’ve been using it. We now have 2,000 affiliates and thousands of referrals without yet promoting our affiliate program. We are preparing to start promoting it and likely to have 50,000 affiliates this year, so my question is how much activity do you think it can handle without starting to have issues?

    • Kento January 20, 2018 at 11:32 am #

      Hi Phillip,

That’s amazing, congrats on the success of your affiliate program! You can imagine that I’m really happy to get such positive feedback about our software, thank you so much!

Regarding the scalability, the software itself is designed to handle any size and we commit to maintaining it highly scalable for our users. Being a key component, it also depends on the infrastructure within which it is deployed. It would be advisable to assure that other components that make up the system are in line with the expected increase in size. We can discuss consulting for you in that area if you desire so we can help you prepare. Feel free to get in touch with me via itthinx at itthinx dot com in that case.

      Cheers

I currently set affiliates to be their own permanent affiliates to receive commissions on their own orders. I also have a 2nd tier of commissions. I have a new product pricing feature that allows me to set a special price for affiliates so that they can receive a discount on their own orders instead of receiving commissions. To do this, I set an affiliate’s permanent affiliate to “Direct” to prevent them from getting commissions; however the referring affiliate did not receive a commission after I changed it to Direct.

Is there a way for me to not have the affiliate receive commissions on their own orders, but still have the 2nd tier (referring affiliate) receive commissions?

    • antonio December 22, 2017 at 8:46 am #

      Hi Phillip,
From Affiliates->Settings:Referrals you can exclude auto-commissions. But if an affiliate doesn’t get commission, then their sub-levels doesn’t get commissions.
You could create your own custom method not excluding the auto-referrals, but assigning value 0. You have available the Affiliates API, probably Affiliates_Exclusion::validate can be useful. Maybe this code can help you as reference.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Regarding mass payments with PayPal, not all of my customers’ email addresses match the email they use with PayPal. Is there a field or a way for them to enter their PayPal email?

    • antonio December 18, 2017 at 8:24 am #

      Hi Phillip,
From Affiliates->Settings:Registration you can add a ‘paypal_email’ field that the users can use to set their Paypal email.
The export process uses this field if exists. If not, then uses the user’s email.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Is there a way to allow my affiliates to redeem their commissions for reward points or coupons?

    • Kento December 13, 2017 at 8:23 pm #

      Hi Phillip,

Please have a look at this implementation and give it a try ideally on a test installation. We’d welcome your thoughts.

  19. Adam Morgan December 13, 2017 at 6:52 pm #

Yes yes yes! Another plugin was also able to do this. What they could not do is handle the scenario where B gets a sale and thus gets a different percentage than he would in your example where C made the sale. In other words, in their plugin his commission is always the same regardless of where he is in the referral chain from one purchase to the next. Does that make sense?

(I’ve got my credit card out while waiting for the confirmation 🙂 )

Also, is this functionality in Pro or do I need Enterprise?

    • Kento December 13, 2017 at 7:36 pm #

If B refers the sale directly, then B would get the appropriate commission of $60 and A would get $40. C wouldn’t be involved in that case. We can also take it further if needed. You can assign B an individual rate and combine it with what level B is in for that particular sale.

If this sounds good then I think you could give it a try. It won’t take a lot of testing or setting up, if you’d like to review the Rates section in the documentation … if eventually it doesn’t fit your requirements then we can of course refund you or consider any suggestions for improvements.

Thank you so much for considering our system 🙂 If you’re going to use it regularly, it makes sense to join our affiliate program.

      • Adam Morgan December 13, 2017 at 8:57 pm #

Thanks so much! It sounds like we are saying the same thing. If C was referred by B who was referred by A, I want the commission to always be the same for sales under C. B and A will have their own setups.

Do I definitely need Enterprise for this? Also, I am currently working in a dev URL. When I go live can I switch the license to the production site?

        • Kento December 13, 2017 at 9:18 pm #

Yes this sounds like a match 🙂

You do need Affiliates Enterprise for this as it provides the necessary multilevel features. You can certainly use it on your dev site and later on your production site.

          • Adam December 20, 2017 at 11:56 pm #

Hi Kento, I purchased the plugin and now I am trying to figure out how to get it set up. I have defined the three levels of Rates based on percentage of sale (10, 5 and 5). I have set up 3 tiers in the multi-tier area. Where do I indicate that SupplierA referred SupplierB and thus should get rate on his sale?

            • Adam December 21, 2017 at 1:26 am #

Sorry, i did not scroll down far enough on the affiliate page. I see the referral option now 🙂

  20. Adam Morgan December 13, 2017 at 12:45 pm #

I have multiple customers with the following need. Can you verify that either Pro or Enterprise will do the following? I read through the Enterprise documentation and it looks like it does what I want it to do.

I have 3 different levels of rewards with a set percentage at each level. An affiliate can appear at any of the three levels depending on where they were referred. On some sales they could be top level (they were the direct landing page), on other sales they could be third level. Seems simple, right? I’ve spent a week with one of your competitors trying to get this working after they told me (pre-sale) that their plugin could do it.

    • Kento December 13, 2017 at 6:30 pm #

      Hi Adam,

Thanks for getting in touch, could you please clarify the following?

“On some sales they could be top level (they were the direct landing page), on other sales they could be third level.”

When you say third level, do you mean that the sale was referred by another affiliate in the downline? If yes, then the system should do what you’re looking for but let’s try to figure out if we’re conceptually on the same line.

For example, let’s say we have three affiliates A, B and C. A referred B and affiliate B later referred C. Now C publishes his affiliate link on say Facebook and a customer is referred and makes a purchase with net value of $200.

If we have the system set up with rates so that the direct referrer gets 30%, an affiliate directly above the referring affiliate gets the equivalent of a 20% commission and those two levels above get 10%, then C gets $60, B gets $40 and A gets $20 in this example.

Does that sound like what you’re trying to accomplish?

  21. Ruben December 12, 2017 at 12:27 pm #

Completely different question that I need answered.

With Rates, if a commission is set to a category, does that include subcategories to the category?

    Thanks.

I’m ready to buy Enterprise and Products but I need to know if it will work first.

    • antonio December 12, 2017 at 5:03 pm #

      Hi Ruben,
Subcategories are not included, you should add custom rates to the subcategories, or include the product to the parent category.
      Kind regards,
      Antonio B.

  22. Ruben December 12, 2017 at 2:43 am #

With Rates in 3.0 Enterprise, will the Rates settings allow you to set rates based on Tags or Attributes or Brands? If not, how hard would that be to modify the code to add these since Tags and Attributes and Brands are so similar to categories?

    • Kento December 13, 2017 at 5:22 pm #

That would be a complex task and I would advise against it. I’d rather go with additional categories.

      • Ruben December 13, 2017 at 5:54 pm #

That is too bad. Additional categories has a few flaws for my setup. The thing is that it will be hard for me to get the product creators to choose the right category or any at all although I could code it in to force them to choose one and only one. I was hoping to use the Rates system to assign a rate to a specific affiliate in an upline if a product was purchased in a specific department. And Categories aren’t the most ideal way of using the rates changes either for me. Especially if I wanted to use categories for actually creating real categories for products. It would be especially helpful if I could use Brands because I wouldn’t be using brands anywhere else and I could code something in to force them to choose one and only one brand which would help me assign the right person through the Rates system.

        • Kento December 13, 2017 at 6:16 pm #

I think it could be good to have rates based on attributes at some point, it makes sense to me for brands, sizes, etc. I just can’t promise an ETA for it at current. I suggested categories instead even though you’ll not use them to organize your products or offer them directly as such in the store.

    Hello,

I was wondering if this plugin allows affiliates to link to any page.

    Example:
Will it allow http://www.MySite.com/product/widget1/?affiliates=123 with the default setup

    OR

    Just http://www.MySite.com/?affiliates=123

    Thanks for your time

  25. Salina January 10, 2017 at 5:53 pm #

    Hi there,

I’m interested in the Enterprise version and want to find out if it can help us to do these things. We have an ecommerce store. 1. We want to provide AffiliateA 10% commission rate for new product purchase and 5% commission rate for return product purchases. 2. For every new affiliate AffiliateA refers, he or she gets $10 per new affiliate sign up. Basically, there’re two types of commission we want to offer: product sales commission (from customer orders) and new affiliate sign up commission. I looked at the Enterprise version and not sure if it could help us. Please advise.

    • antonio January 11, 2017 at 10:04 am #

      Hi Salina,
I assume that you are using Woocommerce.
1.- There isn’t a default method that check if the order is first or not. But you can create your own custom method using the Affiliates API. We’ll be happy to help you create this.
2.- You can use this plugin to add commissions when a new affiliate is added (you need to change the $amount variable in the code).
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

We’re working on a website, and this plugin seems perfect for what we’re doing, I just had a couple of questions:

    – Is there a way to do specified dollar amounts for each sale instead of percent,
    – and is there a way to have it be different amounts for different products?

Just wanted to check before we buy the Enterprise version.

    Thanks!

    • antonio July 31, 2016 at 6:03 pm #

      Hi Zack,
      – Yes, from Affiliates->Settings:Commissions you can select Referral Amount as method.
      – If you need to set values per products, then as default you can only set rates per product. You can calculate the rate according to the product value and the amount that you want.
I have created this custom method, so the value sets on the product page is used as amount instead of rate.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Hi, I have a big problem as a result of adding a manual referral. My plan was to distribute the funds accumulated in the Direct referrer to my top three affiliates. I shared out the total to these, then closed the Direct referrals as if they had been paid. But instead of zeroing, the Direct account had more funds than before, and the other 3 affiliates ended up with much bigger totals than they should have. Somehow, some sort of calculation seems to have been invoked instead of the manual tranaction just overriding all others. I have screen shots available to show the unexpected effects. Hope you can help here. Thanks! Sue.

    Hi Guys,

Sorry for all the questions. I am almost set up here. When exporting my MASS PAYMENT FILE I need everyone’s PayPal email address. If I go to Affiliates > Manage Affiliates, the PayPal Email Address field is empty. Which I understand, being that I do not have a PayPal Email Address form field anywhere on the website. So I added a PayPal email address to the Affiliates registration form. But even then, when I look at Affiliates > Manage Affiliates the PayPal Email field is empty.

Can you please help me with this?

    Thanks!

    • antonio May 25, 2016 at 4:53 am #

      Hi John,
please be sure your registration field label is ‘PayPal email’. You have many columns as registration fields. In this example, I have added two custom fields: ‘Paypal’ and ‘Paypal2’, and I have:

      • John May 31, 2016 at 7:32 pm #

I made sure the registration field label is ‘PayPal email’. The info is being collected correctly, however when you Generate a mass payment file, the email being used is not form the PayPal email registration field it is from the primary email field. Is there a way to change this, or should I just have the user insert their PayPal email into the primary email field?

        • antonio June 1, 2016 at 6:41 am #

          Hi John,
if an ‘paypal_email’ field exists, then this field is used as paypal email, if not, then the user’s email is used. Please try to use exactly this field name.
          Kind regards,

I was wondering if there is a way to do the following with affilaites

20% commission paid on all personal sales

Plus commission on up to 10 levels of active affiliate sales below:
    Level %
    1 5%
    2 2%
    3 1%
    4 1%
    5 1%
    6 2%
    7 3%
    8 5%
    9 7%
    10 10%

Here is what i am really interested in Sales Qualifications to earn on levels:

3 Personally referred sales opens Levels 1-3
    4 opens level 4
    5 opens level 5
    6 opens level 6
    7 opens level 7
    8 opens level 8
    9 opens level 9
    10 opens level 10

Hope you understand what i am asking… Basically the more sales a person makes the more levels they earn on…

    • antonio May 24, 2016 at 7:27 am #

      Hi Kieron,
You can set different commissions per levels (relative or not to the upper level). But remember that the level 0 is not only the personal sales, this includes the personal sales and the sales that is make perthe users who use the affiliate’s link.
Relating to ‘open lebels’, this feature is not available. You could create a custom method to create your own solution.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

      Hi pabilonius,
1.- With Affiliates Pay Per Click integration you can get commission according to clicks/visits per day.
2.- You could use the Affiliates API to create your own solution. Maybe creating a layer over a banner/link.
3.- You can set different commission per affiliates. If you want to group affiliates per groups, and assigns commissions per groups, maybe Affiliates Groups plugin can help you.
4.- There isn’t an option to get commission with reviews, but with the Affiliates API it’s easy to create a solution.
5.- You should create a custom solution according to the serveys plugin that you’ll use.
6.- With the plugin you can get commission when a new user is registered and/or when the user makes an order.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hello Sir,

We are interested in your plugin but we do have a few pre-sale questions.

Currently we have a WP + WooCommerce + iDevAffiliates setup. We are using a more or less similar setup on 3 different websites and we have a couple more on the way. We are looking for a more integrated solution with WP and WooCommerce for the affiliates part and your plugin seems to be a good option.

However, we want to know if your plugin if offering the following features:

    1) Our affiliates system is based on a monthly membership fee. We are using WooCommerce Subscriptions to automate the monthly payments. We need these montly payments to generate commisions. Is this supported by your plugin?

    2) We have a unilevel tiered structure (5 levels). Each level gets a commission on a new or recurring payment. Is this supported by your plugin?

    3) We are using a replicated website and marketing materials system. This means that daniel.ourmainwebsite.com will display the content of ourmainwebsite.com and will allow for affiliate traffinc tracking. The makerking materiales (like banners) will be generated with an URL structure that will include the affiliate username (banner link: http://daniel.ourmainwebsite.com/target-page). I am sure these can be adjusted but I want to make sure it is possible without breaking the plugin. Is there some kind of templates overwrite system that will allow this?

    4) We need our affiliates to be able to see their full downline (all levels) in their affiliate front-end area. Is this possible?

    5) We need to see the entire genealogy of an account in the back-end (upline and downline). Is this possible?

    6) Can we see a demo of the system? We are very interesting to see how the entie system is working, especially the reporting features.

    7) We do have situations were multiple affiliates are registering from the same IP. Is this an issue when the commission are generated? We are stuglling with this currently and we really don\’t want to have to make manual adjustments for commissions every month.

    8) Can we have different tier comissions structures for different products?

    9) Just to make sure I understood correctlly we will need to purchase both Affiliates PRO and Affiliates Enterprise to be able to use the full power of this system in the way we need it?

    Looking forward for your reply.

      Hi Daniel,
1.- Yes, it’s supported by the Affiliates Woocommerce Integration Pro (included in Affiliates Enterprise).
2.- Yes, you can set as many levels as you need, and set a commission per level (relative to the above level or not).
3.- Using Affiliates by Username you will get links like http://www.yourdomain.com/?affiliates=daniel, but pretty links is not available. If your affiliates have custom pages on other domains, you can use the pixel tracking feature.
4.- You can use the [affiliates_tiers] shortcode.
5.- From Affiliates->Manage Affiliates you can see the affiliate downline (all levels), but as upline you can only see who referred this affiliate (only one level). Something like this: http://i64.tinypic.com/25teyp4.png
6.- Sorry, there isn’t dashboard demo site. Please have a look at documentation page.
7.- This is not a problem. Every affiliate is associated to a wordpress user.
8.- You can set different tier commissions per affiliate, but not per product.
9.- You only need Affiliates Enterprise (this includes the Woocommerce Integration Pro).
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Can we setup a Skype / iMeeting conference to discuss in a bit more detail?

        • antonio May 9, 2016 at 3:48 pm #

Sorry Daniel, skype support is not available.
But you can use this topic to ask any questions you have.
          Kind Regards,

Is there anywhere on the Affiliate screen where members can see who has responded to their invitations? I know they can see that “someone” must have if they have logged a commission, but can it give them any other details, on a direct sign-up, or on indirect levels? (Preferably all on the same Affiliates Page)

    • Kento May 1, 2016 at 9:01 am #

      Hi John,

You could enable the User Registration integration for that and then customize the Affiliate Area including this shortcode which will list details on referrals including the username, email, first and last name when these apply:

      [affiliates_affiliate_stats type="stats-referrals" data="user_login,user_email,first_name,last_name"/]

      Cheers

    1. Is it possible to do a mass import (via CSV or similar) of new affiliates without having to register each individually online? If so, does it require Enterprise or can it be done with Lite or Pro?

    2. Can the same affiliate have different commission rates for different tiers? e.g. Top level affiliate earns 10% of sales for sub-affiliates A, B & C but earns 20% of sales for sub-affiliates D, E & F

    • antonio April 18, 2016 at 7:41 am #

      Hi Julia,
1.- With the Affiliates Users plugin you have an option to create affiliate accounts for all user accounts. But you should have all users created before.
2.- With the Enterprise version, you can set tiers values per affiliates (editing the affiliate from Affiliates->Manage Affiliates, you can set these values). But this value is applied to all the affiliate in the same level. If AffA has 10% to level 1, then AffA get this commission from all the sub-affiliates on this level.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

    Hi,

I am not exactly sure how the tier process works and I couldn’t find it in the documentation.

How does one sign up as an affiliate under another affiliate to start the tier process? I have 9 tier levels, and I just don’t understand how it works exactly.

I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

    • antonio April 8, 2016 at 9:46 am #

      Hi John,
If a new affiliate is registered using another affiliate link, then this new affiliate is registered as child of the first affiliate. Ex. to get:
      AffA (level 0)
      – AffB (level 1)
      – AffC (level 2)
      The process:
      AffA already exists. (level 0)
UserB uses the affA link (something like: http://www.example.com/affiliates=xx)
Then userB is registered as affiliate (affB). This new affB is linked as ‘child’ of affA (level 1)
UserC uses the affB link (something like: http://www.example.com/affiliates=yy)
Then userC is registered as affiliate (affC). This new affC is linked as ‘child’ of affB, and as second level of affA (level 2 of A and level 1 of B)

I hope this example can help you.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Thank you Antonio! That was very helpful. Where in the Affiliate section of WordPress can i see this info? Will it tell me if they are a child Affiliate under the Affiliates tab?

        Thanks!

          Hi,
From the Affiliates->Manage Affiliates, if you edit an affiliate you can see his referred affiliates.

Following my comment yesterday, I also have another question: I want my affiliates to drive traffic to a presale page. Leads would enter their email and name to access free content prior to a product launch. Does Affiliates Enterprise have capability such that an affiliate that drove abc@def.com to the presale page will receive credit for abc@def.com‘s purchase a couple weeks later, even if on a different device (i.e. link abc@def.com to the affiliate for a certain period of time)

Looking forward to a prompt response as we need to implement a solution ASAP.

    Thanks!
    Xavier

    • antonio April 4, 2016 at 8:47 am #

      Hi Xavier,
You can set cookies timeout from the Affiliates settings, but the sale must be in the same device. Relating to pre-saved emails, this option is not available.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

  41. Xavier March 28, 2016 at 3:50 pm #

    Hi there,

We are evaluating several affiliate solutions and were wondering if implementing this MLM structure was possible with Affiliates Enterprise.

Base commission is set per product.

Level 0: Base commission on direct sales only.

Level 1: Must have 10 direct sub-affiliates. Receives base commission on direct sales and 80% of sub-affiliate commissions.

Level 2: Must have 20 direct sub-affiliates. Receives base commission on direct sales, 80% of sub-affiliate commissions, and 60% of sub-sub-affiliate commissions.

Level 3: Must have 30 direct sub-affiliates. Receives base commission on direct sales, 80% of sub-affiliate commissions, 60% of sub-sub-affiliate commissions, and 40% of sub-sub-sub-affiliate commissions.

Level 4: Must have 40 direct sub-affiliates. Receives 120% base commission on direct sales, 100% of sub-affiliate commissions, 80% of sub-sub-affiliate commissions, and 60% of sub-sub-sub-affiliate commissions.

To maintain one’s level, X $ of direct commissions must be generated the last 6 months. Otherwise it is downgraded to the lower level and so on. If no commissions are generated in a 12-month period, the affiliate account is disabled.

Is this possible with the base product ?

    Thanks!
    Xavier

    • antonio April 4, 2016 at 8:53 am #

      Hi Xavier,
this option is not available directly. You have multi-tiers level with different commissions (relative or not to the previous level). But by default all affiliates are available all levels, so if you set 4 levels, all the affiliates are 4 levels of referrers.
You could use the Affiliates API to create your own solution based on Affiliates Enterprise.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

I would like to purchase Affiliates Enterprise for 1 domain. I am developing the site on my development domain http://ledslitlamp.com. My question is,…. Can I transfer the licence from my production domain (ledslitlamp.com) to the new domain (ibexeye.com) when I publish the site,… without buying 2 licences?

    • antonio March 27, 2016 at 8:15 am #

      Hi Don Sarnovsky,
You can only have one site running at a time. So you can migrate your website with a simple license.
      Kind Regards,

HI, I posted a few days ago but never got a response so I’ll try again. I am using WooCommerce subscriptions. I have a simple subscription product with at $500 setup fee and $99 recurring montly fee. I want to be able to pay all affiliates 50% of the setup fee and their referral rate on the monthly fee. Does your package support this?

    I have some presale questions

    I will use affiliate enterprise

How can affiliates see their “downline” in the affiliate area?
How can an affiliate contact their “downline”?
Can an affiliate shop for the earned money in the shop? If so, how ?

    Regards,
    Ken

    • antonio March 3, 2016 at 9:11 pm #

      Hi Ken,
You can use the [affiliates_tiers] shortcode to display the ‘downline’.
You can ‘pay’ using coupons. Ex. one a month, you close the accepted referrals, and create a coupon to the affiliate with this calue.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

Hi, I am currently using AffiliateWP,but I am thinking of switching to Affiliates Enterprise. There is something I need to do that AffilateWP does not handle, and I’m wondering if your plugin will work.
    I have WooCommerce Subscriptions.

I have a Simple Subscription Product wtih $500 setup and $99 recurring monthly fee. What I need to do is pay all my affiliates 50% of the setup fee, and their personal affiliate rate on the $99 (Both the $99 at Initial sale and each month). So the first sale which is $599, if an affilate is on a 20% commission, he would get a $269.80 commisison. $250 for the setup and $19.80 for the $99 sub.

    Does your product do this?
    Thanks

    • antonio March 5, 2016 at 6:48 am #

      Hi Jim,
With Affiliates Woocommerce Integration, you can set a rate commission for subscriptions, but the rate is the same for the setup for the future payments.
You could create a custom solution using the Affiliates API and Woocommerce subscriptions actions.
      Kind Regards,
      Antonio B.

I am building this for a client and I would like to know whether Affiliates Enterprise can support this?
    Thanks!
    —————-

For direct referral, the affiliates himself (Level 0) and the sub affiliates (Level 1) gets a different calculation of commission, which is based on the purchase amount.

The direct affiliate will have a tier kickback for both parties (inviter and invitee, aka direct affiliate)

For direct referral, the affiliates himself (Level 1-Distributor) and the sub affiliates (Level 1-Wholesaler) gets a different calculation of commission, which is based on the purchase amount.

    For example, $100 is 10%, >$200 is 20% etc.

On top of that, there will be five tiers in the reward system as shown below:

    (1)Distributor->(2)Wholesaler->(3)Retailer->(4)Customer->(5)Consumer

As a distributor, people that user have invited will be deemed as the wholesaler.
Wholesalers can further extend their invitation to others, where they can build onto retailers, customers and consumers.
So from the distributor’s perspective, they will be rewarded from product purchase of retailer, customer and consumer.

    Like so:

    Level 0 – Distributor
    Level 1 – Wholesaler – 3% (?)
    Level 2 – Retailer – 2%
    Level 3 – Customer – 1%
    Level 4 – Consumer – 0.5%

Do advice whether this is possible to achieve?

    • Kento January 19, 2016 at 5:29 pm #

      Hi Jerry,

Thank you for the details on your requirements and for considering using Affiliates Enterprise. It seems that for your case, it would be necessary to customize the procedures used to calculate the commissions. To me they seem more complex than what we provide in the standard solution for tiers. So unless you’re prepared to invest the additional consulting and development for a customized solution based on the system, I would not recommend it. It seems that you have sent an email with more detailed specs, if you still want to look at it further with us, please let me know.

      Cheers

        Hi Kento

Thanks! Yes, I would appreciate if you can take a look. I will be sending another mail to simplify the specs so that it will be easier to understand.

        Thank you!

Hello, right now I have a basic setup up and running. My most urgent question is about why an affiliate would get extra emails when someone makes a referred purchase from their links. Now they get multiple email for a single referral. Are emails send out for both accepted and pending status? Are there any other areas for notification control area in the Affiliates admin section? Thanks

    • antonio October 8, 2015 at 6:41 pm #

      Hi Khalil,
please about support questions, use the forums.
In Affiliates->Notifications you have options to control if emails are sentwhen pending and/or accepted status.

If you are going to use it on one site and then want to use it on another, yes. Just not on both on the same time, in case you are going to use it on multiple sites later, it would be appreciated if you got a multiple site license then.

    Hi

I can’t seem to find an answer to this in any documentation.

I will be importing users, setting membership levels on import, is it possible to set the referrer on import ? We have about 1000 members to import from another software, so setting the referrers for 3 tiers would be very time consuming….

    Thanks so much

    • kento May 25, 2015 at 4:48 pm #

      Hi,

Thanks for asking, unfortunately this is not supported through the user interface. It would have to be done by importing the necessary relations into the database. May I ask from which system you are planning to import?

      Cheers
