Pretty Permalinks

Posted in

Hi,

I have looked through the documentation which says it is possible to use pretty permalinks, but there doesn’t seem to be any information on how to use them? I would like to set it up so the affiliates links looked like this /a/username

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

WP Wizard Cloak worked perfectly with the affiliate links.

Still didn’t work. The link redirects to the correct page but the affiliate does not get a hit registered for it. Everything works fine with regular page/post links…just not pretty link pro cloaked links.

Seems to be some incompatibility with the plugin.

Is there another link cloaker that affiliate pro does work well with? It would be very convenient to be able to use one with affiliates. Thanks for all your help. Your support is excellent!

I am using a plugin called pretty link pro to create cloaked links like this: http://kennysalter.com/SAVE30 this page atually goes here http://kennysalter.com/download-store/ I wanted to let my affilliates place their code ?affiliates=1 at the end of the pretty link url like this http://kennysalter.com/SAVE30?affiliates=1 but this doesn’t work. I think it because /SAVE30 is not a real wordpress page/post but instead is a custom post type redirected to the real wordpress page/post. Is there any way to make this work?

      Hi,
please try with “Redirect” in Affiliates->Options selected/unselected.
