I’m sorry if this question looks a bit frivolous, but I still puzzle about the difference between affilate and referral.
I want to pay commissions to my {affiliate | referral} only if there is the visitor buys a product, on nothing for clicks or simple visit.
Do I need to manage both affiliates_affiliate and affiliates_referral, or only affiliates_affiliate ?

it is not exact, but you could associate:
– Affiliate = user who shares the website link.
– Referral = commission.
The referrals are created when the visitor makes a purchase.You need to install the integration according to your shopping cart.
