I am using the “affiliate pro” plugin.
Quick question : Let’s suppose that someone get to my website through an affiliate link.
However this page do not contain any product to sell but other products website does.
Will the affiliate get the commission in case someone get to the homepage throught the affiliate link and than buy a product in another page ?
It seem that its not the case.

Hi Nassim,
In order to test the affiliate plugin do the following:
Create an affiliate account through Affiliates > Manage Affiliates.
Set a commission for your affiliates under Affiliates > Settings > Commissions.
Copy the link for the new affiliate and paste it on a different browser you have installed on your computer.
Buy a product and then check the earned commission under Affiliates > Manage Affiliates.
Please note that you should also install the proper integration for your e-commerce plugin. These integrations can be found under Affiliates > Settings > Integrations.
If you still cannot make it work, you are welcome to send your admin credentials to george at itthinx dot com, so that i can check your configuration.

Thanks for the answer. I did some testing with a friend but unfortunately it didnt work.
2 questions :
– Is there any way to test if the affiliate plugin is working properly ?
– I am quite sure that my parameters are correct. Could you please double check ?

Hi Nassim,
Yes the affiliate will be credited with a referral and a commission when the purchase is made.
The plugin uses cookies which can be set under Affiliates > Settings > Referrals. It’s the referral timeout option.
