    Hi Admin!

I hope you can help us!

We are looking to set affiliate commissions based on product, but for set amounts.(Product X has $5 commission, Product Y has $10, etc.)

We cannot currently do this with your product, that we’ve been able to find.

Is there an update or work around?

We did try doing it by percentage, but the admin section rounded the percentages down. Instead of 0.1005025125628141 (the percent we needed to get the desired affiliate payout amount), it just became 0.10- which is not quite the same when dealing with a big ticket item.

    Thanks a lot!

    • kento May 22, 2013 at 10:17 am #

      Hi,

What we can do is add a method that allows you to set fixed amounts, it will be easier to use than the odd percentages anyway πŸ˜‰

      Cheers

        Hi Kento!

That sounds fabulous! Is this in a future release? Can we custom order it? Plug in?

Would love to hear about it!

        • kento May 27, 2013 at 4:41 pm #

I think the best is that I just add it to the integration plugin as an option. Maybe it will be useful for others as well. I’ll try to take care of it within the week, would that be on schedule for your needs?

            Hi Kento,

Sounds exciting! Hope to see it.

I have this installed in my client’s site and we used it on her first launch last Spring. Now we create a new page on the site for the new product, affiliate referrals are coming but this time, whenever we click the Affiliates and Referrals, and click the order for certain affiliate…it brings to a 404 error page.

Before, it used to show the page with the affiliate’s referral order details.
Also, where do I get the upgrade pack for WooCommerce integration? It’s showing that I need to update but there is no login or email send to me for any new updates?

    Cheers!

I had a question regarding the short code [affiliates_affiliate_stats type="stats-referrals" /]. In the documentation it says that the attribute data can be used but I’m unclear on what the possible attributes would be? It uses the example message but that doesn’t give me any data when I use an example. Are there specific keys that it can pull in? What I’d like to be able to do is include the order number that is normally contained in the “description” of the affiliate. Also just another quick thought on a feature would be to include the Woocommerce product that the order was for so you could filter by product to see which affiliates are selling which products. Not sure if there’s already another way of doing that but just a thought!

    • antonio May 21, 2013 at 7:08 am #

      Hi Will,
the possible values in the “data” attribute are: order_id, order_total, order_currency
Your ideas are welcome, we will study it, thanks for sharing it with us.
      cheers

      • Will May 21, 2013 at 3:09 pm #

Great! That’s exactly what I was looking for specifically order_id.

I am interested in having affilates for numerous products many with different Affilate Percentages.. is this possible.. Also Some of my ebook Products are By Donation.. is it possible to integrate this so that people get 50% of the donation..
Lastly, the above said ebook by Donation.. 1/2 goes to Charity.. is it possible to Integrate myself as a Affilate so that 1/2 of all donations from “outside affilates” or general traffic, is marked.. Or basicly every sale of that particular ebook, beyond affilates sales, is marked so i can easily see how much to transfer monthly to the charity…
Lastly, If I have a dozen affilates does this system track them all, all their totals then all I need do is Send them their commissions manually, or can that be set up automatically in bulk or Per order..
Thanks so so so much, Ive been looking for this servie to fit my By Donation products for a long time..
    Much

With the Affiliates Pro for WooCommerce integration you can set rates per product, you can also set different rates per affiliate so at least part of what you describe should be covered.

The other part where you effectively share product sales with the charity would be covered by the Affiliates Products plugin.

Affiliates Pro has a section where the totals are calculated and where you can generate a file which can be used for mass payments with PayPal, or if you do manual payments, to know what amounts to pay per affiliates for a specific period.

I hope that makes it a bit more clearer but please ask if you have any additional questions. Also make sure to try out the free version before deciding πŸ™‚

  5. wmacmill May 16, 2013 at 5:18 pm #

Well my feeling is the integration is already there given I can assign the coupons to the affiliates once they’re created. One thing that would be great is if there was a bulk coupon generator in affiliates so you could create the coupon code & generate it automatically while assigning it all in one step. I know bulk coupon code generation is possible because I can do it using the smart coupons plugin from woocommerce – but then I have to individually assign each coupon to the affiliate.

What I see is the piece that is missing is really the “First 3 months X% or $X off”. I think it would need to have options for the length of discount (ie X days/weeks/month or X number of recurring transactions – so if they’re being billed monthly it would automatically go until then)). Other options would be to have a “deadline” so for instance save 10% until August 31st – so any recurring billing would be reduced up to that date & then reset to full price. Would push people to book earlier perhaps (ie more savings over the long run). Of course with all of these I’m assuming people are using the subscription plugin. In my eyes this is the main drawback of this plugin is the lack of temporary coupons.

    • kento May 20, 2013 at 9:33 am #

Thanks for detailing that, there is an extension which has not yet been released which is related to affiliates and coupons, it allows to reward affiliates with coupons and the bulk coupon generator for affiliates would be in line with this extension. I’ll be happy to add this feature to the extension.

Regarding the coupon expiration, the second option you mention is already available in WooCommerce OOTB – in case you weren’t aware of it, there is an Expiry date option at the bottom of the page when editing a coupon. But I think the ability to limit a coupon to X days etc. after registration is quite appealing and would give a more flexible way to reward new customers. One could even offer discounts for a period of time after having purchased a particular product. What I’m missing is an efficient visual way of presenting that to the customer: a coupon countdown. I’ve started to create a plugin which adds the limit per user based on registration date and also the countdown. If the coupon expiration date based on product purchased is also interesting, it can be added, too. I think that would even be interesting for the case of recurring payments, as every payment is essentially for a repeat purchase of the same product or service.

      • Will May 21, 2013 at 3:07 pm #

You’re right with the expiration date – hadn’t considered that functionality was already built in. From what you’re saying here it all sounds awesome – exited for the features coming down the pipe. If you can figure out this subscription coupon thing (ie X% off next X payments) I think you’re going to have a great plugin as a lot of people have been looking for this functionality in the subscription plugin. As for how to display a countdown on the coupon what option would be to integrate it with this plugin http://www.woothemes.com/products/limited-deals/ which is already available. It would need some customization to make the times etc all linked to the individuals’s signup date etc but it could be a starting point. Thanks for all your hard work on this plugin.

        • kento May 22, 2013 at 10:06 am #

          Hi Will,

I think a solution for the case you mention with subscriptions could be combining the number of times a coupon can be used per person with the ‘Recurring Fee Discount’ coupon type that is added by WooCommerce Subscriptions, but we’ll need to test that (with the plugin in development this would already be possible, we’d just have to see if it works as expected).

Regarding the Limited Deals extension, it would probably be easier to just add the option to that plugin itself. I haven’t tried it myself, but from the looks it seems it doesn’t use coupons to do it’s ‘thing’, or am I wrong there?

Many thanks for the input, it’s really valuable!

          Cheers

          • Will May 22, 2013 at 2:21 pm #

I agree – the recurring fee discount coupon would be the way to go. You idea to add it ot the limited deals extension makes way more sense – great idea.

          • kento June 14, 2013 at 6:26 pm #

For anyone interested in this plugin, it’s available now here.

  6. wmacmill May 15, 2013 at 4:24 pm #

First off the plugin is great – does exactly what it says it’s supposed to do. My comment is more of an extension or idea for an additional plugin with the Woocommerce integration. Essentially right now with the affiliates plugin you can assign coupons to affiliates which is great. The problem is this coupon is FOREVER. Currently there is no way to provide something like “50% off your first 3 months” in a coupon on Woocommerce. For me this is such a common way of getting people to adopt early I think it would be great to give affiliates coupons that would behave this way. I know it’s possible to do it (the variables are there but no one has done it yet). I think a separate plugin that could do this combined with affiliates would be amazing.

    • kento May 16, 2013 at 10:07 am #

I think the idea is great – coupons that last for a period after a user has joined the site. Is there anything in particular you would like to see on how this relates to affiliates?

  7. Gary May 8, 2013 at 1:46 am #

    Hi Kento,

I purchased your affiliate-pro but it’s not providing me some of the features you mentioned in this message list (namely subscription – recurring payments, individual product commissions ) with woo-commerce. Do I need to buy the additional Affiliate pro woo-commerce plugin or did I purchase the wrong product?

    thanks,
    Gary

    • kento May 8, 2013 at 8:05 am #

      Hi Gary,

It would be the WooCommerce integration pack, but you don’t need to buy it in addition, as Affiliates Pro is already included with the pack. We can upgrade that, I’ll email you.

      Cheers

  9. ailin April 29, 2013 at 3:37 am #

Hi~ I have installed and tested the light version of affiliate and woocommerce integration…

And I want to purchase the Pro version… I just need to know, what do I need to do with the current light version installation? to deactivate and delete?, then instal the pro?

Also I want to know after I make the purchase, where do I get the package?

    Thank you

    Ailin

    • kento April 29, 2013 at 6:05 pm #

      Hi Ailin,

You would replace both the Affiliates plugin and the Light integration plugin with the Pro versions that come with the pack. The data is kept as long as you don’t activate the ‘delete data’ option before deactivating the Affiliates plugin. When you purchase a license you get access to the pack here on the site.

      Cheers

    Hi,

In your comparison chart it says “Affiliate links to any page”.

    Under “Affiliate Area”:
    http://www.itthinx.com/affiliates-plugins-feature-comparison/

How am I able to get different links to different pages?

        Hey Antonio,

This doesn’t seem to be working.

What happens is it cancels out all my other [affiliates_url]. It takes note of the [/affiliates_url], but not the first [affiliates_url].

I created an affiliate area via your dashboard, and have now done my tweaks to make it look how I want.

I am now wanting to add page links to specific products!

But as mentioned, [affiliates_url]http://www.example.com/somepage[/affiliates_url] is not working. It does not read the first [affiliates_url], but does take note of the [/affiliates_url].

It also does change to the affiliates link, but cancels out all others.

I am using mystile theme from woothemes.com

If the affiliate ID is 3 of course.?

    We have affiliate pro.

  14. Mike Johnson April 8, 2013 at 8:31 pm #

Have you considered adding PayPal Adaptive Payments to the plugin to allow for instant affiliate payments?

    Mike

    • kento April 9, 2013 at 9:53 am #

Thanks for asking Mike, actually I’m considering PayPal Payments Pro – if you’d like to have a look at this thread, you would also be welcome to participate with ideas.

      • Mike Johnson April 9, 2013 at 2:07 pm #

What I am looking for is the ability to both pay partners who have products on my site (WooCommerce) and Affiliates at the same time using PayPal Adaptive/ Chained Payments. Quite a few affiliate services are using this payment model now and it really increases the promotion rate on products when everyone sees the payments hitting their inbox right when the sales happen. I know you have the other Add On plugin here for paying Partners Commissions on products hosted on your site and I think this add on would be a great fit for it.

        • kento April 17, 2013 at 8:41 am #

It’s certainly worth considering, given that refunds/chargebacks would be handled automatically on all payment receivers for a transaction, it’s an interesting alternative. Probably the main reason is that receivers will see their money sooner on their accounts. I just wonder if this wouldn’t increase PayPal’s fees substantially, based on the examples in Adaptive Payment Fee Calculation Analysis it looks to me that at least the per-transaction fee is multiplied by the number of receivers. It’s not a big deal if you have a few transactions per day, but if you have a fair amount of transactions and a lot of business comes in through affiliates, I’d say it’s one aspect to consider (in making a decision on monthly or instant payouts).

          • John October 27, 2014 at 4:49 pm #

I am also be VERY interested in Paypal Adaptive because I have a client who needs instant commission payouts. Have you moved this forward to a release version, or is it in the schedule, or still in the ‘idea’ phase…? We’re looking to integrate this with the Product Vendors plugin in a marketplace environment, hopefully with minimal tweaking. πŸ™‚

            • kento October 27, 2014 at 9:19 pm #

Thanks for your input on that but I’ve completely discarded the idea mainly for security reasons. Unaudited sites issuing payments automatically are a big no … even though a plugin itself were secure, it would still need the whole site audited for security so an OOTB solution isn’t really feasible IMHO.

      – Default referral calculation : Referral Amount Method
      – Default referral calculation value : Affiliates_WC_Method::product_rates
      Affiliates > WooCommerce Integration

      Hi,
you can’t do it with links. You can do it with coupons.
1.- Create a woocommerce coupon with discount for customer.
2.- Assigns a coupon to an affiliate (for generate a commission when customer use this coupon).

We have implemented the Affiliates Pro WooCommerce Integration pack and have been quite happy with it.

Question: In the email notification to the affiliate is it possible to pass information about the WooCommerce transaction such as the client contact information? We are using this to track referrals for sales reps and it would be easier for them to follow up on the transactions without having to log into their affiliate page to see them.

    Thanks,

You can’t pass this information in the email notification. The params you can use are:
      [site_title] : Itt
      [site_url] : http://itt.tuslistas.com
      [affiliate_id] : The referring affiliate’s ID
      [affiliate_email] : The referring affiliate’s email address
      [affiliate_name] : The referring affiliate’s name

      cheers

I am running 2.2.1 is that the latest affiliates pro for WooCommerce? Have there been any enhancements to the email notification params? If not, do you do custom programming to add the feature I need to the emails?

        Thanks!

          Hi,
in the next update, the API will be extended to handle this. When available, we can look at your specific case.

Follow on question, the affiliate dashboard shows the order result after completion as “Protected”. Is there any way to show the actual order customer name?

It’s not possible. You need use Affiliates API, and create your own shortcode.

    Hey Kento-

I noticed above you said users who were previously registered could sign up for an affiliate account through the form- but when I test this, it gives me the “error: username is already taken”. How do I get around this? We have over 400+ users on our site as it is, because we have online courses offered. So- if someone who already is registered as a user, they currently cannot sign up to be an affiliate (unless I do it manually).

    Thanks for your insight!

    Maeve

    • kento March 9, 2013 at 9:09 pm #

      Hi Maeve,

They can sign up but they have to log in if they already have an account. This is how it works: if you don’t have an account on the site, you just fill out the form and the system will create a new user account which is linked to an affiliate (users and affiliates are treated as independent entities). If you have an account and try to register, it will complain about the username (or the email address when taken). To allow existing users to join the affiliate program, they would visit the page where they can join, if logged in it will show their existing data (it will complain if required data is missing). You can add a notice on the page advising existing users to log in before they try to join the affiliate program.

      Cheers

I am using Affiliates Pro 2.3 with Woo Commerce and do not see the new “Coupon Codes” feature for affiliates. What am I missing?

Do you know a way to offer “Affiliate Pricing” which would basically be a “Wholesale Cost” and not allow the affiliate to earn a commission on that deeply discounted price?

    Thanks!

    • antonio March 8, 2013 at 7:16 am #

      Hi,
you can create coupons editing an affiliate, and add new attribute with key “Coupons”.

Maybe if you want offer wholesale cost, you could create a coupon, and not set affiliate these users. This is just an idea.

      cheers

Hello – Is there a way to export all affiliate email addresses, or send them a message? Thank you! – Scott

    • kento February 25, 2013 at 1:57 pm #

      Hi Scott,

Yes, you can run a query directly on the database for that:

      SELECT DISTINCT email FROM wp_aff_affiliates WHERE status = 'active';

An export feature for this is scheduled for development but not available yet. Please let me know if you need help with using the above.

  29. J.P. February 22, 2013 at 11:58 pm #

I see that there have been previous comments requesting Stripe/Subscription integration and that it was a feature that was in the works. Has this been implemented?

I am currently running a subscription site with Stripe that I would love to have affiliates for. However, it would need to have the ability to pay a commission on signups and work with the Stripe payment type.

As it stands now, if a commission is paid through Paypal I would have to fund the Paypal account to pay the commission, right?

    • kento February 25, 2013 at 1:39 pm #

      Hi J.P.,

While having already added support for product commission rates, the part for recurring commissions which I wanted to release along with that update needs a bit more testing, but it will be made available this week.

You do not need to make commission payments through PayPal, the mass file payment generation utility that is included with the plugin can also be used to just provide the pending sums and you can make the payment either manually or through another processor.

  30. George C February 22, 2013 at 6:33 am #

    Hi Kento,

    A few questions before we commit to purchasing the affiliates pro plugin for woocommerce;

    1) Is there an option to accept or reject affiliate sign ups as we want to approve all registrations manually?

    2) Can the affiliate registration form be customized with additional fields such as file upload?

    3) Can we lock the site down & only grant customer access if they enter an affiliate coupon code for access to the site?

I look forward to your prompt reply.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    • kento February 22, 2013 at 12:10 pm #

      Hi George,

#1 I would recommend a manual sign-up process through a specific contact form then. You could add a page with a form where they can submit their request to be accepted, gather the necessary data there and if you accept a new affiliate, create the user account and link it to an affiliate account. You can easily try out the process with the free Affiliates plugin and Contact Form 7 for example (I’m not referring to the integration with Contact Form 7, that isn’t needed in this case).

#2 See this comment on how you can use a customized form. Again, this doesn’t require Affiliates Pro or Enterprise, you should try it with the free Affiliates plugin before deciding whether to use one of the premium versions.

#3 This sounds like a very specific requirement, I’m not aware of an OOTB solution for that. Have you checked the extensions on WooThemes?

  31. Thomas February 19, 2013 at 4:52 pm #

I am considering purchasing the Affiliate Pro plugin, but I first want to know if I can set specific commission rates per product with this plugin connected to WooCommerce. Thanks!

Final tests are being run today before publishing the updated release that allows to do that.

    • kento February 22, 2013 at 7:14 pm #

  32. Jennifer February 16, 2013 at 4:10 pm #

Hi, I’d like to use Affiliates pro for Paypal but I would like to be able to use coupon codes to credit affiliate referrals. I see this feature in the Woocommerce plugin but not the Paypal one. Would something like this be available for Paypal anytime soon? Thanks.

    • kento February 18, 2013 at 11:26 pm #

Thanks for asking Jennifer. Actually I don’t think so, WooCommerce is just really awesome at that and already provides the facilities to manage coupon codes in a great way, I wouldn’t see the point in recreating that functionality for a plain PayPal-based solution.

  33. Lenard February 11, 2013 at 5:58 pm #

Hello, i have tested an order using an affiliate id.

The problem is, when an order is processed, the affiliate gets credited instantly.

I guess they should be credited when the order process is marked “complete”. Because what if the order has been canceled. or people are just playing around ordering and just messing with the affiliate section to make money.

Is there a way to fix this, or is it included on the pro version?

    please advise..thanks!

    • kento February 11, 2013 at 6:39 pm #

The WooCommerce integration with Affiliates Pro synchronizes the referral status with the order status automatically.

  34. Ruth February 10, 2013 at 8:37 am #

    Hello,
    I have a couple of pre-sales questions:

    1) Has the plugin been updated to work with the WooCommerce Subscriptions extension yet?
    2) When creating links to affiliates, is it possible to link to external domains and still have the affiliate sale track properly? Sometimes I run special offers on forums so the affiliate link would need to redirect out of my main site.
    3) Do you have some demo URLs I can take a look at?

Thanks in advance for your help.
    ~Ruth

    • kento February 11, 2013 at 6:45 pm #

      Hi Ruth,
Working on #1 which will be provided with an updated release of the integration shortly.
On #2, you don’t create links to affiliates, you create links to pages on your site that identify the referring affiliate and thus allow to track when sales are made thanks to that affiliate. As long as the affiliate links are used correctly, it doesn’t matter where they are used.
For #3 please use the free Affiliates plugin and light WooCommerce integration which you can both install directly from your WordPress admin section.

      • Ruth February 11, 2013 at 10:08 pm #

Sorry, I phrased question 2 wrong. What I need to know is that I can create a link for an affiliate that will track sales but link to a page outside of the domain I install the plugin on?

So for example, I run the site xyz.com and I have woocommerce there. But I set up an external sales page on othersite.com, using a payment button from my woocommerce installation at xyz.com. Does your plugin allow me to create a link for an affiliate to othersite.com and still credit them for that sale?

        I hope that makes sense!

        • kento February 14, 2013 at 10:49 am #

That would require some adjustments on the secondary site, if an affiliate link points to that site and you want to direct them to the WooCommerce site, the affiliate info would have to be ‘carried on’, technically, the affiliate ID would have to be appended to the URL that points to the WooCommerce site when an incoming affiliate link has been recognized on the secondary site.

  37. Matt January 19, 2013 at 3:23 am #

I applogize for the lengthy comment, your email kept giving me a bounceback error.

I am curious if your Affiliate Pro plugin has all the functionalities I’m in need of before I purchase it.

Here is the workflow of our site:
-A new affiliate account is automatically for a customer on checkout.
-After payment, the customer is redirected to their profile page where they see their unique referral link.
-When they refer someone to make a purchase with their affiliate link, they are credited free shipping on their next transaction. So if they refer 3 customers, they get free shipping on their next 3 transactions.
-At anytime a customer can see how many impressions/referrals they have made on their profile.

So here are the core features I foresee we will need:
-Auto create new affiliate on checkout
-Display unique affiliate link and sharing buttons on profile
-Credit an affiliate after a referral purchase so when their next reoccurring transaction happens the price will be automatically deducted X amount

Please let me know if your plugin can seamlessly satisfy these functions. Feel free to email or call me anytime.

Thank you & looking forward to hearing from you!

    Matt

    • kento January 26, 2013 at 11:06 am #

      Hi Matt,

Regarding the workflow: you’re using the Affiliates Users plugin which is creating the affiliate account – that would have been my suggestion but you were quicker πŸ™‚ You can use the shortcodes on the user’s account page or link to a specific page if preferred where the affiliate’s details are presented. You can use Peter’s Login Redirect (see Useful Plugins) to redirect users to their account page after they log in.

For the free shipping requirement one solution would be to use a new plugin that is going to be released shortly which allows to issue coupon rewards instead of or along with normal referrals. The current development version (which is not yet publicly available) doesn’t allow to issue coupons for free shipping but I’d be happy to add that option if you want to use it.

Thanks for getting the plugins even before I got a chance to answer your questions πŸ™‚ Please let me know if the above would help, I’d be happy to let you try it out before it is released.

      Cheers

We just purchased the Affiliates Pro Integration Pack for WooCommerce as an upgrade from the free version. The Affiliate links generated by the plugin in the WordPress backend are formated as such: http://www.mysite.org?affiliates=affiliateID

WE would like the links to be as such: http://www.mysite.org/sub-page?affiliates=affiliateID

I have read how to accomplish this with shortcodes on the front-end, but this does not change the links shown for the affiliates on the back-end. How do I make sure the links on the dashboard also reflect the fact that the affiliate area is on a sub-page rather than the main page?

    • kento January 3, 2013 at 1:23 pm #

The links shown on the back end are more a convenience for the admin as these would not normally be displayed for the affiliates. You can add a link suggestion for your affiliates in the affiliate area and use the generic form to link to a specific page, where the affiliate ID is appended to the URL.

Hello Support- Is there a way to deactivate certain products from participating in the affiliate/referral system, maybe by category, or on a per-product basis? My client has 100 products, but there are about 10 she doesn’t want included in the affiliate program, as the profit margin isn’t that great on those products.

Also, is there a way to set referral rates unique to each product, which will override the default settings?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

    • kento December 30, 2012 at 3:22 pm #

You can limit coupons assigned to affiliates to certain products, that would be a way of limiting, or you could limit referrals to certain products by using a custom method that iterates over the products and for example checks for a flag on a product.

              Hi,
in your “downloads” page you must have an “Affiliates Pro Readme” link to download a txt file with instructions. The correct method is:

The plugin must be deactivated, deleted and the new release
uploaded and activated. These are the steps involved:

              1. Go to “Plugins > Installed Plugins”, click Deactivate on the
“Affiliates Pro” or plugin, then click Delete to remove it.

              2. Go to “Plugins > Add New > Upload” and click the “Browse…” button to
select the new release’s zip file, affiliates-pro.zip and click on the
“Install Now” button. After it has been installed, activate the plugin.

              cheers

I have purchased Affiliates Pro with Woocommerce integration. Is it possible to attribute a sale to an affiliate either the sale? We have large ticket items and some were manually ordered before the use of the plugin or an order may be occasionally missed being attributed to an affiliate for various reasons.

You mean manually adding a referral? This is in development right now and will be available hopefully within the week.

    Hi!

Sorry for posting again. Just wanted to know the plugin pays the affiliate based on each item sold or a sale?

i.e. As I told I will pay affiliate a flat rate of $10 for each item. If a customer buyers 2 items, will the affiliate be payed $20 (2 items) or is he payed $10 counted as a single sale?

  44. steve November 16, 2012 at 5:09 pm #

    Hi!

Need to get clarified. Please reply ASAP. I am pretty confused about which plugin to use from you site. You have number of plugins.

    1. I am using woocommerce for WordPress.

    2. I need an affiliate system for my woocommerce site where every affiliate gets a flat rate of say $10 for each successful sale.

Now if an affiliate refers a new person and signs up for an affiliate link, then the one who referred should again get a flat rate of say $5. i.e. If A signs up as an affiliate and if A refers B to make a sign up as an affiliate and if B makes $10 then A should be paid $5. I don’t need percentage commissions here?

Is this possible with your plugin?

    3. Do you have an affiliate link as aff_id=1 something like that or aff=name?

Also which plugin I need to purchase? Is it Affiliate pro for woocommerce or Affiliates Pro WooCommerce Integration Pack or Is it both? Can you explain what does what?

  45. jimgrant November 15, 2012 at 11:08 pm #

What is the best way to set up the affiliate link as http://www.abc.com/tjones rather than the provided format of – http://abc.com?associate=1

  46. magic blogger November 12, 2012 at 11:23 am #

    Hi Kento,

Before I purchase the plugin, I just wanted to know if this plugin fits my needs. I will ask you some questions and if you feel this plugin fulfill my requirements let me know and I will more than happy to buy.

I have purchased this theme that supports woo-commerce. http://themeforest.net/item/boutique-shop-responsive-woocommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/3311375

I have a eCommerce site that sells custom items. I need to create an affiliate network for that site. I want these features:

    1. I want to give my affiliate a fixed amount for a successful PayPal payment regardless of the item value. (I don’t want the percentage based commission. I am looking for a fixed commission.)

    2. I want the payment status for all the affiliates to be “pending” by default. Even if the item is purchased successfully using PayPal it should not be marked as “completed”. Because I offer money back guarantee and I need to pay the referral only after the time frame ends, like after 2 days or 10 days. (Got my point here?)

    3. Can affiliate use the link not only on their own website, but also on any other medium like forums, twitter, Facebook etc.,?

    4. Will affiliates have the information about the click through rates, sources from where their visitors visited the site and purchased the item etc.,?

    5. Also affiliated get a fancy link like aff=username like that or its just like aff_id=3?

If you feel that these can be achieved which plugin I need to purchase from your site? (Point 1 and 2 are compulsory)

    Waiting eagerly for the reply.

    Regards,
    Magic Blogger

    • kento November 12, 2012 at 3:32 pm #

#1 you can assign fixed amounts per affiliate; there is also an extension coming up that allows you to credit affiliates with a % commission on product sales
#2 yes that’s possible, although if you get a lot of referrals at some point you might consider using a payout policy that covers for refunds etc.
      #3 yes
#4 some of it, see the documentation
#5 not OOTB but there’s a plugin for that

I tried the light version before purchasing the pro. When I am logged in to wordpress and click on my own link on an external website I still gets commission! It seems wrong that you can get commission by clicking your own link.

Is it possible in pro version that the commission can be used for purchases instead of PayPal payouts?

Commissions are credited to affiliates when a visitor has come through an affiliate link, whether the affiliate may get credit when they make a purchase through their own link or not is rather part of the program policy, if you absolutely prohibit your affiliates to purchase through their own links, you will have to control it, or you can allow or even encourage them to purchase through their own links.
Regarding payouts do you mean coupons issued to affiliates?

    Hi

How can I make the shortcode [affiliates_affiliate_stats] to show the product title instead of “Protected: Order – September 18, 2012 @ 05:01 PM”

How can I remove the filter (from until) and the results per page option?

    Kind regards
    Dominik

The shortcode isn’t capable of showing the product, you would have to retrieve the order ID from the referral and list the products in the order.
You can hide the filters and pagination by applying display:none; but I would not do that, the results are paginated and you would hide an essential element that allows the user to view the data.

    Hi Kento

I am an affiliate, would this plug in work so i can track the number of click throughs from my site to the merchants. I need a plugin that gives me the data and the merchant does not have to add anything to their site.

    Cheers

That’s not what it is intended for.
