    Hello,

I have an issue with the affiliate registration form I can’t get the captcha to show up with the form. I didn’t even now captcha was available until got an error.

cERROR: Please enter a valid CAPTCHA value.

Do I post get a captcha plugin for this to work? what do I do?

    • antonio November 12, 2013 at 6:18 am #

      Hi,
it’s probably related to another plugin interfering. Do you have the reCaptcha plugin installed? It messes with the registration form (see also this comment).
      cheers

      • Tony November 12, 2013 at 8:21 am #

I have Captcha plugin installed not the reCaptcha. So turn off the captcha and now the form doesn’t do anything. I added a affiliate and I don’t even know the password.

I must say this affiliate script pro sure is disappointing I’ve been setting with this plugin for 2 weeks and I still not able to use it.

So when I add an affiliate where is the password? and why does it take username? it’s not taking it.

        • antonio November 12, 2013 at 8:30 am #

          Hi,
If a new user uses the registration form, then a wordpress user is created (an email is sent to user with password) and associated to the new affiliate.
If you add an affiliate manually (on Affiliates->Manage affiliates), you can set the username to associate this affiliates with an existing user.

          cheers

    Hi,

I’ve tried to find the information on your documentation but it’s not too clear. Does Affiliate Pro support multiple level of affiliates and commission tier?

    Regards,
    Bastien

    • antonio November 10, 2013 at 5:51 am #

      Hi,
multi-tier is supported by Affiliates Enterprise.
      cheers

      • Bastien BC November 10, 2013 at 7:34 pm #

Thank you Antonio for your answer.

One last thing I’d like to ask. Is it possible to have paid memberships to give affiliates a greater commission?

        Regards,
        Bastien

I believe this will work but I want to run it by you first.

We have a client that wants to set up affiliates that organizations can use for fund raising. They want to track sales to each member of the organization. To do this I can set up an affiliate for the organization and then set up a unique coupon code for each member of the organization.

This would credit the sale to the organization and allow us to see who is making the sale. Correct?

    • kento November 7, 2013 at 10:43 pm #

It sounds like a match but even the free versions would be sufficient for this unless the coupons are really needed.

      • Alex Sean November 8, 2013 at 5:26 pm #

A big thing for them is to be able to track which individual is getting the referral from within each affiliate. The coupons seems to be an easy way to set this up.

I guess it is nice if the free version does this but we like to support developers by purchasing when we can.

This looks like a nice fit for what we are wanting to do. Thanks for your work and help.

        • kento November 18, 2013 at 5:46 pm #

Many thanks Alex, I appreciate that a lot. It helps us to develop useful stuff and thus it helps those who use it 🙂

  4. Courtney November 5, 2013 at 3:53 am #

I’ve just started having users register as affiliates and have noted two issues and wondering if I can get some guidance.

    1) Affiliates purchasing for themselves via links using their own code are receiving a referral hit for their own purchases–so technically it’s a way for anyone signing up as an affiliate to get an immediate discount on an item by however much the affiliate rate is. Is there a way to disable this? It’s not a HUGE issue, but it is annoying for signed-in affiliates to get an automatic indirect discount via the affiliate program.

    2) A larger bug: When an affiliate made a purchase via our shop recently, they were credited TWICE for the referral, evidenced by 2 e-mail notifications and a record in the referral log. They only made 1 purchase, so any idea why this happened?

    Thanks.

    • antonio November 6, 2013 at 6:50 am #

      Hi,
      1) You can use Affiliates Excluded.

      2) Please, be sure you have not checked “Allow duplicate referrals” on Affiliates->Options.

      cheers

      • Courtney November 6, 2013 at 6:57 am #

Thanks, I’ve downloaded the plugin. As for the duplicate referrals–I had it checked before but turned it off now. Hopefully that will solve the problem. What is the purpose of that option, then?

        • antonio November 6, 2013 at 3:00 pm #

          Hi,
With this option gives greater freedom in developing integrations.
          cheers

      • Huzaifa December 3, 2020 at 6:16 am #

Bug:: Same problem i got. When an affiliate made a purchase the referral got duplicated 4 times, the reason I found is customer took 4 attempt to complete the order, the status was 3 times pending and in 4th time it completed…. the plugin you have mentioned affiliate-excluded url above is not available… the 2nd option above mentioned i have checked … 2) be sure you have not checked “Allow duplicate referrals” on Affiliates->Options…. pls advice.

        • Kento December 5, 2020 at 4:04 pm #

Hi Huzaifa, what you describe is to be expected and there’s nothing wrong with it. Those pending orders and referrals wouldn’t affect the Totals anyhow as long as they stay that way. The option on duplicate referrals does not apply to those as these are different orders.

          • huzaifa December 7, 2020 at 12:47 pm #

Thank you so much for you response.
I want if a customer has order status=completed then only it should be capture as 1 referral. But it is not showing that way, even the order status is pending or failed, it counts as a referral and shows in the total. Pls advice how to go about it?

            • Kento December 8, 2020 at 10:48 am #

You’re very welcome. Please have a look at the Totals section in the documentation where you will see how this works. Only accepted referrals should be included when producing the totals for affiliate payouts. This excludes any referrals from ineligible orders.

  5. GolfBravo November 4, 2013 at 3:04 pm #

The error message has finally disappeared: deactivated and then activated Affiliates Pro, Woocommerce Integration and Woocommerce itself.

      perfect 😉

  6. Stephen November 4, 2013 at 1:31 pm #

    Hi Kento and Antonio,

    The plugin is awesome!!!

It is doing exactly what is advertised. Its just great.

I have a a question however, I will create a Btcoin affiliate site, so, instead of the paypal email attribute , I want a Bitcoin address attribute for my affiliates, where they can input the bitcoin address (Bitcoin addresses are alpha numeric charsets)
Is there a way to create a new attribute or I can just rename the paypal email in the source code to Bitcoin Address option.

    • antonio November 4, 2013 at 6:50 pm #

      Thanks,
you could use Affiliates Extra Fields and add a Btcoin field.
      cheers

      • Stephen November 5, 2013 at 8:30 am #

If I use this plugin, will the affiliate see the field in his affiliate profile page and able to edit it.

Users can edit these new fields in their user profile.

    Hi, Kento and Antonio!

    Your plugins is great!

    It’s just pre purchase question:

I can’t find the information regarding differences between Pro and Enterprise versions (except multi-tier levels). Could you please explain What are their main differences? Or maybe you have some kind of comparison table?

    Regards, Vitaly

      Hi,
Affiliates Enterprise supports all features of Affiliates Pro, comes with all available integrations and supports unlimited tiers. In this page you have a list of integrations that includes.

  10. Courtney October 22, 2013 at 4:09 am #

    Hi,

I recently purchased Affiliates Pro for woocommerce, and I have to say that I’m really, really confused. I’m doing this for my company as the on-board tech person, but I’ve got little experience doing more than running a straight woocommerce shop–so it’s my first time doing affiliate stuff.

Is there any sort of read-me for dummies? I’m not entirely sure what the difference between an affiliate and a referral is, I’m not sure how affiliates can link to specific products with their ID, and I’ve only managed to figure out how to set up things like a default rate after much hunting and pecking.

The wiki and videos have been practically useless for someone new to this aspect of e-commerce, so do you have anything a bit more ‘dumbed down’?

    • kento October 22, 2013 at 7:53 am #

Hi Courtney, the first place to start would be the documentation pages. An affiliate is usually a person or an organization that links to the site where the affiliate system is installed. When a customer who has been referred by an affiliate makes a purchase on the site, the system records a referral which reflects the commission amount granted to the affiliate. Take the time to read through the documentation, it’s well worth it as you will discover very useful features that allow you to set up a very flexible affiliate program for the site.

      • Courtney October 22, 2013 at 7:58 am #

As I mentioned, I read through the very documentation you linked–it was easy to find, which was helpful, but the CONTENT was not particularly helpful for beginners, because it doesn’t cover the most basic things like what an affiliate is or what a referral is, or my question which was: how can an affiliate link to a specific product? The affiliates area page only gives a generic link to the site like “http://webshop.com?=affiliate1”; will the same work with “http://webshop.com/product-a?=affiliate1”? This isn’t clear from the plugin’s affiliate area page, nor was I able to tell from the documentation.

        • kento October 22, 2013 at 8:13 am #

You can link to any page like that and there is a section explaining this clearly: Affiliate Links.

          • Courtney October 22, 2013 at 8:20 am #

I’m afraid that isn’t clear at all–that seems to suggest that I have to embed the shortcode to generate an affiliate link in every single page I want there to be an affiliate link for, which seems…rather roundabout. Is there not some static affiliate link, as I asked?

It would be far easier to just remind affiliates that all they need to do for an affiliate link on their personal websites is append their ID to the end of a product URL. Is that not possible?

All of the ‘affiliate link’ language is buried in talk of shortcodes and banner generation on my website–I’ll have to put explanatory language on the affiliate area page now to instruct people how to find their own affiliate link.

            • kento October 22, 2013 at 11:19 am #

“… that seems to suggest that I have to embed the shortcode to generate an affiliate link in every single page I want there to be an affiliate link for …”

No, it doesn’t suggest that at all. It means that you can construct a link to any page using the shortcode. You can also instruct your affiliates that they can link to any page on your site by appending the affiliate parameter with their id.

          • Courtney October 22, 2013 at 8:23 am #

I’m also not wild about having some text box sitting there for everyone to see, affiliate or not, saying “Your affiliate link: [link shows up here]”. Is there not just some blanket way of formatting URLs that I can instruct affiliates to do? Or is everything generated dynamically? I don’t really want to have to ask my affiliates to come back every single time they need to find a new link…

          • Courtney November 1, 2013 at 6:34 am #

I’ve tried embedding the code, and while it spits out something useful, it leaves a huge eyesore for anyone not logged in with raw code just sitting there that isn’t even useful (as the code tacked on to the end of the product is just “affiliate-ID” if you’re not logged in as an affiliate.

Is there any way to make the affiliate code ONLY show up to logged-in affiliates? If not, I’m just going to stick to telling affiliates how to code everything, since it’s fairly simple.

  11. Tony October 17, 2013 at 6:09 pm #

Yes I do own the WooCommerce Subscriptions which is the reason I was looking at the Affiliates Pro Woocommerce Integration.

One more concern: With the Affiliates Pro Woocommerce Integration can I pick a particular Subscriptions product and pay out fixed commission with Affiliates Pro Woocommerce Integration?

    • antonio October 18, 2013 at 8:47 am #

      Hi,
You can set different commissions for each product. But always in percentages, not fixed amount (you can solve it by calculating the percentage)

      • antonio October 18, 2013 at 8:50 am #

If you set a product rate (for example: 0.15), this is used in the beginning and recurring payments (you can not specify different percentage for fees).

  12. Tony October 15, 2013 at 7:55 am #

Can the affiliate pro now track subscription plans with woocommerce and payout fixed rate to affiliate on a monthly base?

  13. Acas October 8, 2013 at 4:02 pm #

    Hi,

Thanks. Do we need to do anything to use it? Is it automatic with no settings?

The plugin looks like it would work for someone who does strictly wholesale, but we can’t lose the affiliate link tracking for the retail side. It looks like we are back to creating two accounts for an affiliate.

The ideal fix would be to have the affiliate plugin track retail and wholesale separately so that the affiliates and Coupons plugin functionality isn’t lost.

    Thanks

    • antonio October 14, 2013 at 10:21 am #

      Hi,
      the plugin works automatically.
if the customer is a wholesaler, then the referrals is registered if it is applicable. If the customer is not a wholesaler, then the referral is not saved(or save to Direct if this option is enable).

  14. Acas October 8, 2013 at 1:17 pm #

Hi – Thanks for the link. Can you explain how it works? I don’t see any options within Woocommerce or the wholesale plugin to utilize it.

We’ve been able to achieve the same functionality as the link by creating two accounts (one for coupons, one for affiliate codes). The ideal solution would be to allow tracking of both affiliate links and coupon codes at different rates within the same account. The typical scenario would be, selling to store at wholsave, and also driving traffic via affiliate links. Both need to be tracked at different commission rates and separated.

    Thanks

    • antonio October 8, 2013 at 3:38 pm #

      Hi,
the plugin filter the commissions. An affiliate only get commission if the customer is a wholesaler.
If you need different commissions, then your solution is the correct.

  15. Acas October 7, 2013 at 11:38 am #

Hi Antonio – The wholesale plugin is a commercial product so I can’t upload it, but if you send me your email I can setup a login for you to check it out. Thanks

    Hi itthinx team,

My client is wondering if we can setup certain period of time before the affiliate can withdraw their earnings just in case the product is returned? Maybe 2-3 weeks.

I’ve review your demo video and didn’t see this feature.

    Let me know soon.

    Thank you,

P.S. I’ve send this message to itthinx@itthinx.com and it’s returning back.

      Hi,
you can control this through the states.
By default you can set “pending” state and for example once a week you can update the referral’s states to “accepted”.

    Hi there,

I’m wondering as to the compatibility of this with older WooCommerce plugins – I’m currently running WooCommerce 1.6 on a site, and wonder if this will still work, and then, when we upgrade to the latest version of WC, if that will cause any problems.

    Thanks

    Laurence

    • kento September 18, 2013 at 12:21 pm #

It should still work with both but I would switch to the latest WooCommerce as soon as possible. In any case, make sure to give the free versions a try first.

  22. Thomas September 15, 2013 at 10:00 am #

    Hi there,

I’m interested in the Pro or Enterprise version. Enterprise is with multi tier levels so affiliates can bring new affiliates and earn on their commisson, right? is it possible to upgrade from Pro to Enterprise if I want to do that later on?
Is there a translation for German language available? or can it be translated with like localize plugin?

    Thx for your feedback,

    Thomas

    • antonio September 16, 2013 at 5:35 am #

      Hi,
Enterprise version support multi tier levels.
You can upgrade from Pro to Enterprise when you want, no data will be lost (when you have pro version, you have a coupon pro2enterprise ( 50% discount ) to upgrade).
Right now there isn’t German translation, but you can easily create a .po file.

        • antonio September 4, 2013 at 6:21 pm #

In “Affiliates Area” page they can see their personal links to share, commissions, etc … you can add banners here.
You can generate this page in Affiliates->Options->Page Generation.

          • Stacie Jensen September 4, 2013 at 8:40 pm #

You have been so much help today. I almost have it all set up. I think last question … how do I set it up so that I can approve registration rather than it be automatic. I don’t want to get just anyone using this.

            • antonio September 5, 2013 at 6:47 am #

              Hi,
you can close affiliates registration (in Affiliates->Options) and create affiliates manually (using “username” in Affiliates->Manage Affiliates->New Affiliate).

  27. Andrew September 2, 2013 at 7:06 pm #

I am looking to buy your Affiliate system, but have had a lot of trouble with fraud in the past and it got so bad I had to completely turn it off. I need a system that can automatically deny commissions if the one buying is a pre-existing customer based on a match to any of the 3: IP address, e-mail, and wordpress account (we don’t use full names so just those three criteria). I see “Affiliates Excluded” is a great step in that direction as well as cancelling commissions when order status goes to cancelled/failed…. If it does not come with such a feature, would it be possible to pay you to get it added?

      Hi Andrew,

There are even more options that one could consider, but with the 3 you mention it would already be very restricting. We can discuss extending that plugin to include those it doesn’t cover (it already considers user accounts and matching emails between the user and the affiliate).

  28. Jay August 30, 2013 at 5:58 am #

Hello, is it possible to remove the commision if the referrer is the same as the user who placed an order?

    • antonio August 30, 2013 at 6:14 am #

      Hi,
you can do it with Affiliates Excluded.

      • Jay August 30, 2013 at 6:17 am #

Thanks alot, I’ve been trying to customize the plugin and it gives me a monster headache, you saved my day. Cheers!

Hey I have a question. Does affiliate pro allow for you to show genealogy? Meaning that if I sign up an affiliate and that affiliate signs up another affiliate, will i be able to track and assign sales percentages per affiliate who falls within my genealogy tree?

  30. Danette August 19, 2013 at 2:16 pm #

My admin panel keeps telling me there is an update to Affiliates Pro and Affiliates Woocommerce Integration. How do I go about getting the update. I paid for both of these products and I would like to be emailed a link to the update or instructions on how to access it. Thanks in advance.

    • kento August 19, 2013 at 4:35 pm #

      Hi Danette,

You have the latest versions in the Downloads section.

      • Danette August 19, 2013 at 5:44 pm #

Thank you Kento, so in other words, in order to install update you have to download and install the whole plug-in again?

        • kento August 19, 2013 at 6:04 pm #

Yes, what you do is replace the old version with the new one. We’re working on making the process automatic for the system, but it’s not ready yet.

    Hi,
I have installed latest version of Affiliate Pro 2.41 and noticed that 2 new pages have appeared. Affiliate scout check and affiliate seeking. Can you please provide any documentation where i can learn how to use this pages.
    Thanks

    • kento August 15, 2013 at 1:24 pm #

These pages have not been created by the plugin. The only page the plugin creates on demand (and not automatically) is the standard affiliate area which you get when you press the Generate button under Affiliates > Options.

  32. joachim_ch August 9, 2013 at 11:15 pm #

Hi, we are about to install a shop (not yet decided if woocommerce or jigoshop) and people (affiliates) will send their customers to our shop to buy products. These should register “saying” who send them and those should get a commision on every sale done by “their” customers. Would that be possible? No link, some of the affiliates will not even have a homepage, only email. No tiers/levels.
    Thanks Joachim

    • antonio August 12, 2013 at 5:55 pm #

      Hi,
you can use coupons for this purpose. For example:
      – You create a coupon in woocommerce “antonio10”
      – You assign this coupon to an affiliate.
      – When affiliate “A” shares this coupon, and user “B” uses it in the purchase, affiliate “A” gets the commission.
      cheers

  33. jacky July 31, 2013 at 3:20 am #

    Hi,

Will the pro version support different level of commission pay? i.e., sales of 1k and below gets 10% and >1k and <=2k gets 11%.

    Thanks,

    • antonio July 31, 2013 at 1:41 pm #

      Hi,
you can create your own custom method to calculate commissions. This conversation can help you.
      cheers

We’re busy exploring affiliate systems for WordPress and would like to know what different is there between the lite version on WP, and the pro version?

Hope to hear from you soon,

    • kento July 26, 2013 at 8:07 pm #

There’s a minimum set on the Feature Comparison page – minimum set because not all the differences are mentioned there, but it covers a decent amount of them 🙂

  35. Mike July 24, 2013 at 4:50 pm #

Hey there – I have some pre-sale questions about this suite of WC Affiliate Pro plugins…

    – Can the affiliate be tied to the Add to Cart link (the actual product) instead of working through a banner ad/text ad that people click on?
    – Can the affiliate and commission rate be set through the custom meta fields/values? So something like “wc-affiliate” for the key, which would be the username and “10” which would be the value for the commission rate (10% in this example).
    – Finally, can this plugin also work in conjunction with PayPal Payments Advanced (http://docs.woothemes.com/document/paypal-payments-advanced/)?

    Hope to hear from you!

    • kento July 26, 2013 at 8:19 pm #

      Hi Mike,

Yes you can link to products directly, you can try that out with any of the Affiliates plugins – see the Documentation for more on that.

Commission rates are set on the affiliate entity rather than the user entity (which is optionally related to the affiliate).

The plugin works with any payment processor for WooCommerce, it doesn’t rely on those but rather the way WooCommerce handles orders.

      Cheers!

  36. Josh Kohlbach July 1, 2013 at 5:48 am #

    Hi Kento,

Is it possible to do a tiered affiliate commissions structure, eg:

1-9 sales: Your commission rate is 30%
10-19 sales: Your commission rate is 40%
20+ sales: Your commission rate is 50%

Appreciate your feedback. Currently using the free version and light woo integration, if it’s possible I’ll upgrade straight away.

    • antonio July 1, 2013 at 8:39 am #

      Hi Josh,
you can use Affiliates API and create your own custom referral method.
In your case function “custom_method” would be:

      public static function custom_method( $affiliate_id = null, $parameters = null ) {
      $result = ‘0’;

      if ( isset( $parameters[‘post_id’] ) ) {
      $affiliate_id = $parameters[‘affiliate_ids’][0];
      $referrals = affiliates_get_affiliate_referrals( $affiliate_id );

      if ($referrals < 10) {
      $commission = 0.3;
      } else if ($referrals < 20) {
      $commission = 0.4;
      } else {
      $commission = 0.5;
      }

      $result = bcmul( $commission, $parameters['base_amount'], 2 );
      }

      return $result;
      }

      cheers

My Inquiry is about Affiliates Pro for Woocommerce. Sorry I forgot to mention the whole name of plugin. Thanks!

    Ismael

    • kento June 27, 2013 at 11:10 am #

No problem 🙂 It’s the same here, the basis is Affiliates Pro which is common for all the integrations.

  38. Gabby June 21, 2013 at 1:32 pm #

A developer setup Affiliate pro on my elearning site, selling video tutorials as a way to use it for commission sales on site products for teachers, as well as for referral affiliates.

He abandoned the projects before setting it up or explaining it. Does this even work as a “commission type” program to give user A commission on all sales of PRODUCT X? Thank you.

  39. hitpro June 19, 2013 at 2:28 pm #

I’m recently using affiliates pro and woocommerce, I’m testing the process of create a coupon assigned to an affiliate, the problem is that purchases are not assigned to the affiliate with the coupon assigned but direct affiliate, the affiliate created don’t receive the referral, only appears in “direct”.
    Best

    Hi Kento,

We had customer try to buy from us and when inputting their details and clicking buy now, the following error appeared:

Fatal error: Class ‘woocommerce_order’ not found in /home/nickyzee/public_html/2for1wednesdays.com.au/wp-content/plugins/affiliates-woocommerce/class-affiliates-wc-method.php on line 2

It did not allow the customer to purchase. Please advise, thank you.

It seems that the version of the integration plugin you are using is not up-to-date. Please download the latest version from the Downloads section.

  41. Moshed June 16, 2013 at 11:04 am #

    Hi Kento,

I want to buy one of your product : Affiliates Pro for WooCommerce. Question first is, can I also make affiliates recruitment payment?

    Example :

I have store using woocommerce, I want to paid affiliates who selling item from my ecommerce website. (that is normal)

Also I want to PAY affiliates who refer friends to become affiliates at my website. So at the same time, I can have many affiliates because affiliates also recruit affiliates and I pay them and automatically in the system show this affiliates recruit how many affiliates. Did you provide this system ? If not what your suggest, maybe you have any other product that suit me well.

Second question, did you provide widget system like amazon ?so affiliates can put the widget and display product from my ecommerce website, and it change everytime refresh.

I really interested to buy your affiliates pro, and I wonder which one suit me well..sorry for my english.

(this also has been sent to your email)

    • kento June 18, 2013 at 8:43 am #

      Hi Moshed,

There is an option that you could use directly to record a referral when an affiliate signs up and has been referred by another one, see the post Recording Sign-Up Referrals here. Please try it out using the free Affiliates plugin and WooCommerce integration light before purchasing.

Regarding the widget, that doesn’t exist yet but it sounds like a great idea 🙂

  42. Daniel June 13, 2013 at 8:32 am #

Hi Kento and team, Additionally, can you use URL Coupons plugin (http://www.woothemes.com/products/url-coupons/) to work alongside the affiliate plugin?

So that We can create a discount coupon code using the woo commerce coupon plugin and assign it to an affiliate’s unique link?

So that the customer who clicks affiliate link will automatically be given the discount & affiliate can get a commission for the referred sale?? Please advise ASAP.

    Thanks,

    • kento June 14, 2013 at 9:08 pm #

You can already assign a coupon to an affiliate, only the automatic part is what would be missing. Certainly a very worthy feature!

  43. Daniel June 13, 2013 at 7:57 am #

    Hi Kento and Team,

Can a discount code be embedded in affiliates unique link?

    • kento June 14, 2013 at 9:07 pm #

Hi Daniel, let’s say “almost” because I’m looking at throwing out an extension that can 😉

  44. Kerry June 12, 2013 at 4:43 am #

Perfect plugin , i’m use woocomerco too . It working fine in my site . Thank antonio!

  45. timeuser June 11, 2013 at 2:16 pm #

I see several comments that indicate the plugin works with recurring payments and the Subscriptions extension. My question is how does that functionality work with paying commission on recurring payments?

Is commission ongoing for every recurring payment installment as long as the subscription exists OR is commission payout length configurable some how in terms of time or number of recurring payments?

  46. Ismael June 11, 2013 at 7:18 am #

    Hi,

I just wanna ask if the $59 is one off payment and there’s no renewal fee on the software after purchased. Our clients is asking about this so he can decide whether to integrate this plugin or not. Also, what are the payout options inside affiliates pro aside from paypal.

    Thanks!

    Ismael

  47. Will June 10, 2013 at 1:18 pm #

    Ok thanks!

  48. Will June 4, 2013 at 8:45 pm #

I had a quick question about the affiliate “attributes” and the way the plugin integrates with the woocommerce subscription plugin. Basically right now you can setup a custom referral amount. What I’m wondering is if it’s possible to setup a custom recurring referral limit/timeout so that the individual rate overrides the one set under the woocommerce integration. The reason I’m asking this is because there may be different rates for different affiliates (which you can currently set) but currently there’s no way to individually change the recurring limit/timeout. The situation I’m in is that I have basically two classes of affiliates – those that get a higher commission for a short period of time and those that get a lower commission for a longer period of time. Hopefully that makes sense.

    • antonio June 10, 2013 at 8:56 am #

      Hi Will,
      sorry, it’s not possible.
      cheers

  49. Daniel June 3, 2013 at 11:35 pm #

    Hi Kento,

We are a customer of yours with the Affiliate Pro plugin.

We are having trouble setting the plugin up to reward affiliates with commission via an affiliates unique affiliate link.

The plugin identifies the affiliates \’Visitors\’ & \’Hits\’ stats, but does not credit affiliate with \’Referrals\’ when customer purchases product via affiliates link.

It recognises purchases made via an affiliate link as \’Direct\’ when I had the \’Store direct referrals\’ checked.

I have set up the \’Default referral calculation\’ (referral rate) successfully.

Basically, When a user signs up as an affiliate, they are given a special unique affiliate code. This is all working. I want the affiliate to be able to get traffic through their affiliate link, and if a customer makes a purchase, they (affiliate) are rewarded with .2 (20%) of the purchase price as a referral commission.

What have i done wrong here?

    Cheers,
    Daniel

      Hi,
      try this comment.
if it does not solve the problem, you can send us login access to support at itthinx dot com, and we can take a look.
      cheers

      • Daniel June 4, 2013 at 10:22 am #

Hi Antonio, I have set this up & will test soon.. One other question.. does the default referral rate .2 (20%) cancel itself out if an affiliate has his/her own attributes of a different referral amount of $40?

        • antonio June 6, 2013 at 8:17 am #

          Hi,
affiliates attributes override the other options. In this case, this affiliate would take $40 commission.
          cheers

This plugin is sounding amazing so far. One question before I purchase though. Does it work with Woocommerce Extension Product Retailers? Most of my products ar being bought offsite. So multiple carts are involved. All of which are Woocommerce powered.

Maybe a list of compatible woo extension? That would be nice.

Thank you and I look forward to using your Plugin.

    • antonio May 31, 2013 at 8:13 am #

      Hi,
as long as the product is sold on your site, affiliates get their commission for the orders, but if it’s sold on the retailer’s site, that won’t result in commissions being recorded for the referrer.
      cheers

      • Junior July 27, 2013 at 4:03 pm #

Hi, is it possible to use a wordpress installation running on a dedicated domain only for the affiliate program, and manage different websites that I own and that all websites use a shared shopping cart running on another domain? I.e. Affiliate site refers to site A, and the visitor clicks on a “add to cart” on site A and is redirected to Cart.ShopXYZ.com, and place his order there. The thank you page is Cart.ShopXYZ.com/thankyou . The affiliate program runs on Affiliate.mysite.com . Is it possible to use Affiliate program this way considering that site A, Cart.ShopXYZ.com and Affiliate.mysite.com are my own websites ?

          Using WooCommerce?

          • Junior July 31, 2013 at 5:15 pm #

            Yes!

            • kento August 1, 2013 at 11:02 am #

The first thing I would try to figure out is how to use WooCommerce as a solution where you want to ‘share’ the shopping cart across domains. You could then use a similar approach as to what has been mentioned here.
